Stayed for 1 night in a family room, which was spacious, received a warm welcome of tea and cake after a long journey. Very comfortable and clean. Lovely cooked full breakfast with fresh fruit and cereals also available. Highly recommend. Thanks

Perched near the top of the hill in the village of Cross, this converted 19th century schoolhouse looks pretty plain from the outside. But don’t be deterred, all changes once you get in the front door, starting with the warm welcome from Ian and Teresa (and Rebel, the ageing dog). Rooms are slightly old-fashioned in a good way, beds are comfortable, en-suite is perfect with a great shower. A nice and unusual touch for a small guesthouse is a large communal room with a big TV (which won’t be on unless someone wants it on), a music centre, lots of books and DVD’s (breakfast is also served at one end). And the breakfast is superb, starting with great fruit, yogurt and cereal options, then a great cooked breakfast if you want it, perfectly cooked eggs, carefully sourced rashers and sausages, also nice home-made brown bread. Great location right in the centre of Loop Head, a lovely stay.

We loved our stay, lovely rooms with great views, the B&B is perfectly situated to explore the Wild Atlantic Way. Ian and Terri are great hosts with a wealth of local knowledge and places to visit. We will definitely be coming back for another stay.

Room Tip: Car rental is essential.

Very welcoming hosts. Teresa and Ian are very informative and seem to have great local knowledge.
Breakfast was superb, with great choices and cooked fresh to my order. They made my stay very warm and welcoming, and I would happily stay here with family or my partner also. Very accommodating.
