Went to a retreat for Victorious Missionaries at the Shrine. Very accommodating, friendly staff, and beautiful grounds. Price was very fair! Rooms were clean and very comfortable! Nice continental breakfast. Will be back!

Stayed: October 2017

We were passing through St. Louis. My mother-in-law spoke highly of the shrine and has visited many times. It was lunch time so we pulled off the interstate and arrived at the retreat center in a few minutes. Lunch was excellent and we took a slow drive around the grounds, stopping to walk through the church and watch a few deer along the paths Its all very beautiful and well kept.

My husband and I stay at this hotel 2 - 3 times per year and always look forward to the next visit. The hotel, while old, is clean and tastefully decorated with exceptional staff. The simplicity of the hotel is in keeping with the character of the primary reasons to come to the shrine - that is, rest, retreat, and refreshment.

We chose this hotel inside Our Lady of the Snows shrine grounds, so we can relax and rest after enjoying the quiet and prayerful walks at the Shrine. Very conveniently located for our purpose.

Our room with a king size bed was very good. A bit old, but clean and well maintained. Amenities were sufficient, fridge, microwave oven, coffee maker, were provided.

Continental breakfast was included, but was not that great. The waffle maker was available for us to make our own waffles.

This was a run down hotel in need of a lot of updating. The walls were patched, paint was chipped, the light switch in the bathroom was vintage. It was a 3''x4'' metal box attached to the wall and painted. The linens were old and thin, the furniture was mismatched. The stool in our bathroom overflowed and before we could get the water shut off we had a half inch of water all over the bathroom, running into the entry and out into the hall. The phone didn't work so I had to throw on clothes and run down to the desk to get someone to help. The lady who came was nice and indicated that the hotel needs to have some money spent on it and things like that happened frequently. They did give us another room so that we could finish getting dressed for the day. It was slightly better than the one we spent the night in. We were on a bus trip so did not book this hotel ourselves. I recommended to the travel company that they skip this place the next time. The Christmas lights were OK, but I have seen better.

Room Tip: Avoid the place--go elsewhere.
