My husband and I stopped here on a trip from Chicago to Champaign and we're delighted to find an excellent panera experience. They have the walk up kiosks. Then at the counter where you pick up, there's a quality control assistant. She was helpful and took her job very seriously.

I had a tomato soup and spicy Thai chicken salad with a baguette. We will stop here on future visits.

Always a fresh salad and either soup or a great chicken avocado salad is my favorite. Somewhat pricey but you get good fresh food. The broccoli cheddar soup is always a treat!

This was the first...and last...time we will eat here. I ordered the Chicken, Ham & Swiss Flatbread for $8. There was one piece of ham on it. No turkey. Lots of mustard and arugula. For that price we would expect meat! If it had more meat it would have been good.
We also had onion soup and turkey chili. They came with bread. The bread was excellent. The chili was ok. The onion soup would be good if you like a ton of onion and very little croutons.
Overall we were really disappointed.
One positive note: the bread and Flatbread were really good. That brought this review from a 1 to a 2.

Thank Karen W

Panera has the best bread around and sells out early. Their food is always very fresh, tasty, and well-prepared. Nevertheless, you can't enter the drive-thru line without being readyfor adventure. You can always count on the menu having changed and your favorite soup off the options. Like the for who ran away with the spoon, your favorite half sandwich disappeared with the soup. Once the menu changes are sorted out, an entirely different voice will come over the speaker to ask for your order. When you pull up to the window, the newest trainee is accepting payments but ot for either order formerly placed. Then voice #2 is heard again, much sterner this time, to sort out the fiasco. Does this routine happen often? Yes. Every time? No. The next time you're there they will run out of bread but not know it until you arrive at the window. You'll be fine if you keep a sense of humor and put on a happy face. Sit back and enjoy the show because the food is worth the annoyance but perhaps not the inflated prices.
