From the original water pumping station to caramel, salted popcorn. From fine shopping to grand office buildings and hotels, restaurants, theaters, musuems and dozens of Chicago's top sites. One of the world's great avenues. Chicago: second to none.

So many different shops, hotels, and things to see for everyone. Also fantastic places for viewing the parades they have. You can't come to Chicago without taking time to go up and down the Magnificent Mile! Highly recommend around the Thanksgiving/Christmas time with all the lights. Dress warm though and wear very comfortable shoes as you will be walking around everywhere.

The first thousand metres were the most expensive shops are situated but what a mile, enough to suit every taste and pocket, history only back as far as the great fire and they are proud of their short history, they pack a lot in and it’s as well to look up as well as on ground level

If you like top shop. this is the place for you. The are plenty of high end retail shops like Burberry, Tiffanie’s, and Cartier. There are so many coffee shops, steak houses, and deep dish pizzerias. There are shops on Michigan Ave and within those buildings like Water Tower Place. You could spend hours in shops. I went to the Nike store and they had an interesting history of Air Jordan’s displayed. There is a Disney store, candy store and Nutella restaurant. We were here in spring break and the crowds were thick. There are pan handlers but that is just part of any big city where crowds are gathered. This a good break from the sightseeing.

The Mag Mile. Dozen shops and restaurants. Beautiful view. It does get extremely busy and there are lots of lights with crowds of people waiting to cross each way.
