This was the most luxurious hotel my wife and I have ever stayed at. We stayed in a Waldorf Suite and were fortunate to see inside a couple other rooms. The style of the hotel is "timeless" with a touch of modern. Marble bathrooms with large soaking tub, walk in shower and television inside the mirror. The signature Waldorf Astoria bed was incredibly comfortable. Gas fireplace kept us warm, however, not every room has one. We spoke with Lisa, the Senior Sales Manager, who was very nice and very accommodating and recommended some great activities and places to eat/drink. One of the nicest courtyards with very friendly valet. Close to the Red Line subway if that's you choice of transportation. Friendly tip, CTA 7-day passes are only $33 and we saved money on cabs and was definitely worth not walking in the cold months.
The restaurant in the hotel was under construction, but the hotel hired a famous celebrity chef (currently a secret) who redesigned the restaurant and menu. So we'll have to return when they open the new restaurant! Maid staff was friendly and efficient with morning cleanup and evening turndown service. Overall a wonderful experience and highly recommended. Can't wait to return for another stay. Definitely our new go-to hotel for Chicago!More
