I really dont have any major concerns with this Hotel. It is not a dump as been previously described by a trip advisor reviewer. We were collected from the airport in the courtesy Shuttle and 15 minutes later we were at the Hotel. Reception was a little cool as they just wanted to check us in and get on with something else..I was the only one in line at the time..a little strange compared to other Hotels I have stayed in the States. We were one hour early but not a problem as we were allocated a room on the 12 th floor with views over the next building. Room was extremely well presented and clean, large bathroom with aveda products (great for ageing skin like mine) and a separate lounge area with a writing desk. Plenty of hanging space. Beds were extremely comfortable..I know as I have a bad back and the next morning tells me if the bed is good or bad. Free wifi is available in the lobby however you have to pay if using it in your room. This was not an issue for me as plenty of space in the lobby to set up your laptop and login. It appears the Hotel is isolated but it is not as it is easy 8 minute walk( lifts and escalators available if you have a disability) to the CTA rail station which takes about 40 mins to the centre of Chicago. We bought a 3 day pass ( cheap $14.75) for unlimited travel on trains and buses in Chicago. You can purchase at the station and there is a station attendant to help you (credit card accepted). Lines are coloured coded in Chicago..great system for males..makes it so easy to navigate around the stunning city of Chicago. Another 7 minutes away on the other side of the railway station is Dominicks Super market..it is brilliant..it has everything you need including a liquor store and fresh food to take away. Just a tip, if you are shopping at the supermaket go to customer sevice and grab a discount card...it means if anything is on special you get the discount by showing the card...I went through thinking I would get the advertised discounts but didnt so went over to customer service asked why, she said I will give you the card and then give you a refund on your purchase..$6 refund back to my credit card...fantastic service. We went there 3 times.
We stayed at this hotel due to most hotels being fully booked due to the Chicago marathon..it turned out to be a great choice as we got to use the train service which was clean, efficient and cheap. We also got the benefit of a large room with everything at a great price plus free shuttle to and from the airport. My only mnior concerns is they use paper cups for tea and coffee in the room which is a little weird in a high quality hotel and there was no coin laundry in the Hotel. When you travel and stay for 5 nights you like the service. However it is mainly used as a conference hotel so no real need. Hotel has a fully equipped Gym and large indoor heated pool.
Had dinner in the Hotel one night...cant complain as the food, wine and service was great. We also had room service on 2 nights which was also extremely efficient, food was delivered hot however you do pay a 20% premium so I assume that is the tip in advance.
Reception on check out was much better than checkin. other staff helpful including house keeping staff.

Room Tip: A room on the higher floors always a good option as plenty of lifts in the building so no long waits

Visited this hotel in the fall of 2011, arrived by car from Toronto, Canada for a getaway with my GF. Came for long weekend and stayed Friday-Monday. This place is great because it is located right beside the blue line train which goes to downtown Chicago (the loop) in 20 mins. The hotel was pretty cheap compared to the same one downtown ($110 vs $330), parking was paid but the concierge was nice enough to validate it for us. There was a Starbucks right in the hotel too, and the lobby was modern, clean and had wifi.

Even though they were under construction, we never saw or heard any of it. Staff was very friendly, parking was abundant and train into the city was a 50 meter walk.

This hotel is far enough from the airport so that you do not heard or see planes landing, is in a quiet part of the city, since this is a business hotel there are no screaming children, rooms are clean and modern, and 24h room service. Therefore it is a great place to stay if you would like to discover Chicago and/or have a romantic getaway.

I have stayed here several times in the past and I am pleased to report that, if anything, this hotel is even better than before. The key points are that it is located close to ORD and is easily reached via a short complimentary shuttle service for the terminals but also that it lies a short walk from the CTA and therefore a trip into Chicago is easy and takes about 35-40 min and the CTA sells 3 and 7 day passes that make it very easy to combine a much cheaper nightly rate with the ease of access to the City. Since my last visit the lobby has been updated and the bar area is much more open and inviting than before. Food in the bar was good and not too expensive. Rooms are great (although these will be updated over the next year) consisting of a bedroom and a semi-seperate living area. Great bathroom with a walk in shower. As always a very comfortable Marriott bed.
Overall: Great option either as an airport hotel or as a base for a visit to Chicago.

Our stay was on a Sunday night and we arrived around 8:00 P.M. via the hotels shuttle. While checking in, we asked about restaurants. The hotel gave us a few locations and descriptions and then said" we can take you to any of them and pick you up afterword".
We went up to our very nice room and then returned for a ride, on the house, to our restaurant choice.
This is a large hotel, but the staff operates it with the attention to customers of a boutique hotel.
On another visit when we were going to Chile, we asked if our Mexican waiter could wait on us using Spanish to get us started and he happily did it.

We booked this hotel for a weekend getaway with another couple and were never disappointed. The hotel is just two stops away from the airport on the CTA's Blue Line and approximately 35 minutes from downtown in the opposite direction. A short walk across the parking lot took us right to the Cumberland Station on the Blue Line. The hotel is very clean and very comfortable. It is surprisingly quiet in the room given the proximity to the airport, the train line and the freeway. The service in the hotel is everything we have come to expect from the Marriott family. We had a two room suite with a king-sized bed. Everything was perfect upon arrival, including our request for a "feather free" room. The bathroom in the room is quite large with a massive glass enclosed shower. The sitting room and the bedroom both contain flat screen TVs and telephones. We were slightly disappointed by the fact that in room WiFi service costs $12.95 per night; but, it is free in the lobby. Since we really weren't in town to sit in the room on the internet, this wasn't a huge problem. The swimming pool is large and the water temperature is warm. The hot tub is perfect as well. We stayed on a weekend and "family" movies were projected on one of the walls in the swimming pool area. This was not a problem for us, nor did it seem to bother any of the other guests. The bargain price we got for the particular weekend we stayed along with the proximity to the CTA line were the main reasons for choosing this hotel. Parking is $24 a night, but that is still cheaper than many places downtown where we would have had to park if we chose to drive around town. Purchasing the 3-Day CTA pass for $18 and leaving the car in the hotel garage was a definite money saver. Zipping past the traffic on the freeway while on the clean CTA train was great and allowed us to stay focused on the great time we were having rather than the frustrations of dealing with traffic and finding places to park. Upon checking out, we all agreed that any return trips to Chicago will definitely have us staying at this hotel!

Room Tip: Higher floors provide a great view of the surrounding area.
