Great spot for everything Greek, with free valet for most Greek restaurants in the area and every spot I've been to the food is amazing, but that area has a very hot real estate market going on and I see a lot of places selling out, so get down there quickly

Greektown is a dining and nightlife area on the west side of Chicago, Illinois. It is one of many neighborhoods that make up the West Side community area, and is popular with Chicago residents and tourists as well.
Most of the Greektown's bars and restaurants lie between Van Buren and Madison Streets, along the Halsted Street in west loop. The area once had a large population of Greek American, but many residents have left the neighborhood& have shifted to other parts of Chicago and the suburbs. Today, Greektown consists mostly of restaurants and businesses, although a cultural museum “ National Hellenic Museum” and an annual parade & festival still highlight the continuation of Greek heritage & the original ethnic character in Chicago. Greek Music, is also available on Halsted street next door to Artopolis Cafe & Bakery.
The main Greek restaurants for authentic & Excellent Greek food in the Greek Town are :--
1) Greek Islands
2) Athena Greek Restaurant
3) Pegusus Restaurant & Taverna
4) Artopolis
5) Santorini
6) Mr. Greek Guros
7) Roditya Restaurant
The current Greektown location, which dates to the 1960s; replaced Chicago's original Greek neighborhood, known as "The Delta," which was displaced due incoming University of Illinois at Chicago
The National Hellenic Museum displays & celebrates the Greek American Culture in real sense.

There are numerous Greek restaurants within a few blocks. Also we have enjoyed visiting the museum that deals with the experience the Greeks had coming to America. Also there are some Greek souvenir shop.

As someone that loves Greek food, I've spent a lot of time in this area. Having had a business and a home just a few blocks away for many years, Greektown is a place we went often. The food is authentic, the choices plentiful, and one of a group of well enjoyed Greek restaurants. If you have the chance, be sure to give it a try.

We went to Greektown for the festival. Great band, great food and wonderful people. Although the Greeks have mostly moved out of Greektown the restaurants are wonderful and the nightlife fun and exciting. We didn't have a chancer to visit the museum, but it was highly recommended.
