“Great Neighborhood Coffee Shop”

My best friend and I visited on a Saturday morning to grab a couple of drinks to-go. Upon arriving, the cafe' was buzzing with a group of ladies having a meeting and other patrons have their Saturday cups of joe.

I ordered a regular Honey Latte and my BFF ordered a vegan version latte. Drinks were made and ready within 5 minutes of ordering. The price is competitive with your local coffee/donut chains.

Will definitely be back for a sit-in experience in the next few weeks.

Great coffee, cake. Nice atmosphere. Founded in Bronzeville, black owned business. Been going for years!

We had a back to school meeting at King High School and someone suggested we get coffee at Sip and Savoir. The service was excellent and the ambiance was welcoming and friendly.

If you guys are looking for great coffee and ambience at a local establishment then look no further if you're in this area.
If you're like me and would rather support a local establishment rather then the alternative (insert monopolizing coffee shop name here) then you'd definitely enjoy venturing into this place, and would want to return.

Sip and Savor has a really accessible storefront, located across from Washington Park and the 6, 28 and 171 lines. This coffee shop has colorful and energetic decor with a studious vibe. During my visits, I've seen mostly young people on their laptops working with a mix of other community members lounging on the couches and enjoying their purchases in a small group or alone.

With $1 house blend refills, lots of wall outlets, wifi and a sunny, green storefront, Sip and Savor is a nice place to sit quietly alone or with a friend on your computer or with a book. It may attract a more rambunctious crowd during different hours, but this is not the place I'd bring a group of friends or visiting family to sit and talk for hours. It's a nice spot but nothing spectacular. Not my go-to coffee shop in Hyde Park but nothing wrong with it.

*tip: if you get cold easily, you may want to bring a light coverup or something. In the summer, the AC is on strong.
