The only problem with starting off you evening here is that you just don't want to leave! We ended up skipping our dinner reservation, although this place is not ideal for a true meal as the food is really just some tasty snacks that are not meant to over shadow the reason to come here, which are the interesting cocktails. Next time we'll have dinner first.
The cocktail menu is huge and inventive and drinks are served in vintage drinkware. One of our favorites was the citrus and lavender All Day Dreaming. Service is knowledgable and even came over to point out when the bartender was lighting one of our drinks on fire, which was really fun to watch.
The music play list set the tone and was perfect. I didn't recognize any of it but it was awesome as an upbeat background music that had as much personality as the rest of this place.
The speakeasy decor has a vintage fee, but in a young hip way with an old white bar that stand outs in the very dimly lit room. The seat groupings are made to feel very cozy and private with high backed chairs providing screening from adjacent guests. Even these high backed chairs are not your gramma's chairs and have a glam look to them. The seating areas are small and perfect for 2 but can be made bigger by moving around the cube side tables and benches to accomodate groups of 4-5. Bigger groups would probably do better to hang out near the bar as it was more open.
We loved our evening here. It's a great date spot to enjoy good conversation over some fabulous cocktails. This place is just plain cool.
