I arrived at the hotel six hours before official checkin time and they were very friendly, kept my baggage free of charge and offered early checkin three hours before official checkin time free of charge.

The hotel is not dirt cheap, but the location is awesome as it is three minutes walk from theatre district and Chicago River Walk, and around seven minutes walk to Cloud Gate.

From O’Hare I used the blue line on the CTA train and after 45 minutes got out at Lake station. Around 10-15 minutes walk from there at the most.

There are a number of restaurants and supermarkets in the vicinity. I did not find the 7Eleven close by to be great and will rather advise using one of the Walgreens stores in the Millennium Park area as they are cheaper with better quality goods.

We saw Hamilton at the theater attached to the Hampton Inn. That was super convenient - hotel is small but the rooms are plenty big for us. We didn't take advantage of the free breakfast but I did notice that the check in area and breakfast area is quite small. I'd definitely stay here again!

Great location close enough to walk from Union Station, close to shopping and dining. Many businesses in the area and perfect for where I needed to go. The only thing lacking was the breakfast. It was complimentary, so for free it was alright.

Stayed here during a friend's birthday trip to Chicago and it was a pleasant experience. The rooms are a little on the small side, however, the beds are comfortable and the pricing is excellent value. The housekeeping team doesn't leave enough bathroom items in the room if you have 4 people in the room. We had 3 people in a room with 2 beds and they only left 2 clean towels after the first day of our stay. I am not sure how this makes much sense.

I am leaving 4 stars instead of 3 because the front desk staff is EXTREMELY nice and the location and value of the hotel are difficult to beat.

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor for a view and do not stay in a room across from the elevator.

Great price for a nice room downtown! I chose the Hampton for a conference stay because I'm a Hilton Honors member - couldn't beat the price and included breakfast. Despite not getting the room I chose and ending up next to the elevators, I slept well as it was very quiet.
