The silversmith was a delightful place to stay. I checked in, they gave us complementary drink tickets, cleaned our room everyday. We were walking distance to the bean, and wonderful restaurants
The staff was so sweet, the bartender was lovely. Especially, Enrique. Who went out of his way and was absolutely amazing and helped us throughout our stay. I will definitely be coming back! Favorite hotel in Chicago!

The staff is amazing, the beds are comfy, the food is good and the hotel has a wonderful Chicago aesthetic. Enrique, the doorman, looks after you coming and going. We went for a business trip. Highly recommend this place!

Beautiful and spacious room, friendly front desk staff, great work space downstairs for business tasks. Enrique, the bellman, was incredibly helpful, energetic and kind. The location is central to great restaurants, shops, and landmarks. Will come back again on my next trip to Chicago!

Parking is in a public garage 1.5 block walk from hotel.
Dropping off passenger/luggage is difficult because the hotel doesn't keep the curb space available.
Midweek service is minimal; we waited at 5pm for a bartender to show up—somebody had to go find him/her. At 7:55am Thursday we had to wait for somebody to locate the seating hostess; I watched 2 businessmen decide to leave because they don’t have time to wait for somebody to find a seating hostess. I seriously think the cook was our waiter.
The room was clean but the door lock wasn’t working & we were checking out the next AM. so it *wasn’t fixed*.
You can get a Tripadvisor “special price” — less than $150 at the time of my visit— which matches the value of a room at the Silversmith.

Place was kept very clean. We were greeted right when we showed up at the door. Friendliest staff you could ask for. Location was great and close to alot of the best sights of Chicago. I would recommend to anyone and everyone looking for a great place to stay.
