If you want a romantic place to stay, look no further than the Cloran. It's inviting and the breakfasts are amazing. My husband and I will never stay anywhere else in Galena. If you want relaxation and a fun time, this is where you should stay!

Room tip: I liked the John, but the Tower Suite looks fun!

You can't go wrong by staying at Cloran Mansion B&B. The property is lovely, interesting and extremely well kept. The hosts want to delight you, and they're good at it: sumptuous breakfasts, warm hospitality and gas fireplaces in nearly every room are just a few of the amenities here. Our room (Sara's Suite), which included a plush sofa and an alcove with a small table and chairs, also had a microwave oven and complimentary popcorn, hot chocolate, bottled water and soft drinks. We had a beautiful time!

Room tip: Sara's Suite is large and comfortable. It's also close to the front door, but this wasn't a problem.

We received a text at the last minute that our very close friends were going to elope in Galena. We searched for hotels in the area and everything was booked. We by chance found that the Cloran Mansion had a room available so we booked it without a second thought. When we arrived I didn't want to leave! From the moment we stepped onto the property we fell in love! Our room (Alice's room) was charming and cozy. Carmine gave us a quick tour of the home and we were told we could come and go as we please and not to hesitate to ask if we needed any assistance. I can't even begin to describe all the small details that made our stay so fantastic! Breakfast was amazing! Seasoned potatoes, sausage, french toast, eggs to order, coffee, and two different juices. We cannot wait to return for a romantic weekend and stay in the Tower Suite!! Thank you Carmine and Cheryl for such wonderful hospitality and for making us feel like we were at home!

This was our first time at a B&B and we were quite nervous about it. We stayed in the tower suite...amazing. From the incredibly relaxing whirlpool tub to the supersoft King size bed and glowing fireplace (who could ask for a more romantic honeymoon).
The breakfast is AMAZING...pumpkin pancakes, fruit smoothies, sausage, bacon, eggs to order, the list goes on (I swear I gained 5 pounds).
Camine and Cheryl are the nicest hosts you could every want.
I would recommend this to anyone.

This was our first time staying at a Bed and Breakfast and it was a wonderful experience! Cheryl and Carmine are lovely hosts, great cooks (even preparing gluten free foods for me!) and cater to their guests' every need! We stayed in the Tower Suite for our anniversary and it was so romantic. The fireplace in the room, the jacuzzi in the tower and the extra special touches throughout were delightful! We definitely recommend the Cloran Mansion!!

Room tip: Pets are allowed in the cottage.
