This is nice overall. On the plus, the location is good, staff is friendly enough, and the rooms are big. TV is big and fewer hoops to jump through than most hotels to get to the WiFi, so that was a win.
On the downside, there is a fridge but no microwave in the room, and it has the annoying room layout of bathroom sink outside the bathroom, because -- hey, doesn't everyone in the family want to see me floss my teeth? We had ants on the first day -- bad. Hundreds. Called first thing in the morning, and maintenance didn't show up until 3 pm. So we went to Target to get a can of ant spray, figuring we'd need it for the duration of the stay.
You should know that all guest doors slam at this hotel, and the air gap under your door and the general construction of the hotel ensures you hear/feel each slam. Bring earplugs.
Breakfast was good the first two days (weekend), but on the weekdays, the hot food (gravy and homefries) was left empty during the time we dined. Yes, I could have gone to the desk manager to ask if they could please refill the hot food, but I didn't really want to begin my day with a complaint -- twice -- so I had cold cereal.More
