We stopped into Lago’s while we were in Moline and were happy we did! My daughter and I both got the Quad Cities Special, and my boys both got just scoops of ice cream—chocolate Dutch and chocolate chip cookie dough. We were all happy with our choices. It is a cool, old building with a neat atmosphere. The candy looked phenomenal, so we’ll have to try some of it next time. Prices very reasonable, so definitely worth a stop.

If you dare to step back in time and submerse yourself in the ambiance of a tiny soda fountain undeterred by the modern conveneinces of other delicatessens, then visit Lagomarcino’s. Everything is tiny...... tiny mahogany booths, tiny tables, tiny plates, tiny narrow building, tiny hexagonal floor tiles....because it is all original. Their deli menu is simple, fresh and delicious. My husband’s favorite is the egg salad sandwich. They bake their own bread daily. They also make their own ice cream and their own chocolate candies. The malts are NOT tiny. It is fun to have a malt served in a tall glass topped with whip cream and a cherry. But that’s not all. They also leave the metal container at your table. There is enough malt left in it to fill your tall glass a second time. Be prepared to wait. This place is very popular with the locals. So it can be crowded during the lunch hour. I would recommend waiting until 2:00 for a late lunch. It is well worth the wait.

Thanks so much for the review. We're proud to carry on the same traditions and style as we had when we first opened 110 years ago. We appreciate your kind words and hope to see you again soon for another malt!

Just such a great place to go. It has been there such a long time so you know its good. My favorite is an egg salad sandwich and a chocolate shake.

Hot Fudge Sundae was great. The hot fudge was the right consistency and plenty of it. Well worth the price.
