The Old Bridge Inn sits tucked away off the main road down a short steep path, pleasantly located by the side of the river where dogs and children enjoy a cool off whilst parents sit nearby in the beer garden, which occupies a sunny spot.

Inside the pub is very traditional with a small bar area and separate eating area. There is an excellent selection of real ales on offer, served by a friendly bar team.

A nice pub that is well worth a visit.

We were taken here by a local, having negotiated the very steep approach, we found, on a warm evening, that it was very busy, with lots of people outside as well as inside. Our table was booked and we only had to wait a couple of minutes to be able to sit down. The staff were lovely, and the food was not overly long in appearing. It was hot and delicious.

As locals, we are very familiar with the staff, owners and general excellent running of this ancient hostelry. However we do not eat out often. This may have to change as the Sunday lunch we had was amazing! Two roast beef dinners and one smoked haddock and spinach pancakes with the freshest selection of veg and chips to die for! Super service too! May be a weekly event at this rate!

We had a lovely traditional Sunday lunch with all the trimmings. The service was good and everyone was so friendly.
The starters were delicious.
Also the desserts were not to be missed.
