We have always enjoyed visiting Thai Temples in all our different Thai holidays. It usually invokes a sense of peace and calmness; and this lovely temple is no different. The intricate craftsmanship and elaborate artworks are impressive.

Just such a pretty location with stunning buildings and scenery
was an organised trip so a flying visit
This was my favourite location on a day out to see the main sights. The colours, the design and craftsmanship are all stunning and I could have spent hours here. We went at 4pm so it was quiet ( no coach trips) although the small shop for drinks was closed.
Out first stop on the jungle discovery tour (Klook), before the Big Buddha. So many temples situated next to the lake, I think the different deities is meant to cater for the different races and religions in Thailand.
We visited here whilst the taxi driver waited for us. You probably only need half an hour to visit the 3 temples. The setting of them being on the water makes this place even more magical. We failed to buy the food to feed the cat fish but saw someone else feeding them and they were masses of them in the water!
Wat Plai Laem is conveniently located not so far from the Big Buddha temple and in my opinion is one of the coolest places on the island. Outside of the incredible beaches and some scenic viewpoints, I think this is one of the best things to see in Samui. Having Traveled all over Thailand, and many other Southeast Asian countries with Buddhist themed temples, this one is pretty unique, the temple itself is relatively new. On either side of the impressive statues you’ll murals and smaller statues of Buddha with a long shaped building in the middle with beautiful paintings. Looking more like an amusement park from above, this impressive temple and its structures are super photogenic. And big thanks to our tour guide.
