I had heard about this place from friends. Those who know I shy away from the standard American fare in search of something interesting. Yak & Yeti did not disappoint. Touting traditional Himalayan fare, new flavor combinations were plentiful and welcome. Be warned however, that spices are used in abundance. When placing our orders we were asked about our preferred spice level on a scale of 1-10. My husband who enjoys medium to hot salsa decided next time we go he will ask for a level of 2, 4 was too much. Treat yourself to something different! Enjoy!

We went to the Yak and Yeti expecting pretty good food. After all, it is in a small, unassuming strip mall. We walked out declaring it the best meal we have had in the tri-state area! The inside is incredibly clean and relaxing, and we were immediately greeted and able to sit down. Our server brought us water, and we ordered. We started with the Momo. At first glance they look like gyoza, but the inside is an explosion of rich curry flavor. They have a peanut dipping sauce that you can dip them in, or dip your fork in, or heck, your napkin and it would still be amazing! Then, the butter chicken. I love all things butter chicken, but this was far and away the best I have had. Spiced, rich, creamy, almost silky on the tongue. You can taste the char on the chicken, and it all melds together into an unforgettable bite. You tell them how spicy you want it, so even those who don't like much spice will get to enjoy all the flavors without the heat! The rice served with it was soft and fluffy, a perfect counterpoint. And the garlic naan? Perfectly crispy, with a garlic flavor that was not overwhelming but danced on the palate. Anywhere else the naan would easily have been the star. We finished with a sample of gulab jamun our server brought us, and wow! Spicy and sweet, it was just the right ending for the meal. Don't hestitate, just go and try the food. You will not regret a single bite, just that you can't eat more!

If you enjoy Himalayan food you won't be disappointed. From lovely kormas to nice curry and vindaloos you get a wide variety on the menu and servers are very willing to help you understand anything. You can order it as mild or spicy as wanted. The place is impeccably clean and everything is cooked to order/ Super friendly staff. Will totally be back.

Went to the new Yak & Yeti this past Saturday for lunch with a group of friends. I honestly didn’t know anything about the place or the type of foods served. They serve a lunch buffet for $10.99. The place is small in size and was very crowded. We waited about 10 minutes for a table. Not bad considering how busy they were. I’ll open and honestly admit this type of food just isn’t my preference. That’s not to say the place isn’t good. Most of the people in our group of seven really liked it. The servers were very polite and refilled our drinks often. My friends will return in the future for sure.
