Went on a gorgeous day! They have plenty of good hiking trails and nice landscaping a lot of nature to see. Parking was limited, but I feel
Like it was extra crowded that day I don't know if it's normally so busy. Enjoyed it all

2016 we took my son and his brother to Eagle Creek for his birthday. It was so gross. You couldn't even get off the picnic table cause of the goose poop absolutely everywhere. Could not lay out nothing. It's turned ghetto

Went for a post dinner walk hoping to see some birds, but really only saw some geese. No matter, though, because we had a nice stroll around the lake. This park has an entry fee, but maintained parking areas and multiple trails. At one point we could hear nesting birds near the island near the ornithology center, but there didn't seem to be a way to get close to it for pics. The center was also closed, but it looks well run with plenty of bird feeders. This would be a great place to run with all of the shade trees.

Had a picnic next to the water, under a shade tree and it was nice and peaceful. Saw were you can rent kayaks, etc and there looks to be plenty to choose from.
Hiked a few trails and then drove around the park. Found an empty field were my husband & son were able to throw around a frisbee .
Found the suprise bird area. It was so cool. Free to enter their building and they have stuffed birds of all varieties in their natural surroundings. Displayed very neat with explanations of what type of birds there are, where they can be found, kids can even match the different calls with the birds. A couple of live Hawks in cages outside. Hawks that are no longer able to live in the wild due to different incidents. In the building they have high powered binocular stations where you can view birds out in the water. They don't charge for that machine either. Very nice day had by my whole family

Perfect walk or hike for anyone. 1-6 miles to pick from. The lakeside is great. Tables for lunch. Gorgeous day.
