Description: Bluebeard is a restaurant and bar located in the historic Holy Rosary Neighborhood on the southeast edge of downtown Indianapolis. Abbi Merriss has joined up with longtime friends Tom and Eddie Battista to create a unique food-focused experience. The menu offers contemporary American cuisine featuring the best local produce and meat our farms have to offer. The space, a renovated 1924 factory warehouse, features a family dining room, a bar room, a private dining room, an upstairs event space, and a courtyard. Our menu varies daily – inspired by the freshest and finest ingredients. We believe food is meant for sharing, and these are the local farmers who have shared their ingredients with us: Big City Farms, Butler Campus Farms, Crossroad Vintners, FarmIndy, Fischer Farm, Full Hand Farm, Growing Places Indy, Gunthorp Farms, Harvestland, Josh Horrigan, Smoking Goose Meatery, South Circle Farm, Traders Point Creamery, and Viking Lamb.

I have yet to be disappointed in anything I've had! It's a great spot to order several items and share them family style- which you'll want to because everything is so mouth-watering! Also- I love love LOVE their cocktails! Fresh, inspired and crafted from the best ingredients and spirits. I would eat here every day if I could! I've only been for dinner, and always wonder if it's open for any other meal services- but I never remember to check haha

Indianapolis savory menu displayed variety style and unique use of local ingredients
Seating is limited outdoor seating very well be signed comfortable and done so as to eliminate outdoor noise the menu is not for children In other words no chicken nuggets Be mindful of the fact children can be very picky eaters it is rather high N cost wise

This place came highly recommended and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious! We had the sea bass and salmon for dinner. Trendy, fun atmosphere.

Long day at the greater race. We showered and headed to dinner at Bluebeards. I was shocked that there were oysters on the 1/2 shell (excellent). Had melon gazpacho (my brother had wedge salad and rated best ever) excellent. We both had pasta dishes - great. Vanilla cheese dessert to die for!

Mixed review
The place was exceptionally crowded and we were lucky to get a table. However we were right on top of the tables next to us. As the tables next to us were in town for the same conference it was awkward.
Despite the crowds we did not have to wait for our meals to be served like other reviewers.
The charcuterie and cheeses were nice portions, but the breads were nothing exceptional and although the waiter portrayed the cheeses as exotic and unique they were nothing different than what you could pick up at a whole foods. They were good though. The pickled herring was disappointing. Not as good as a jar in the grocery store.
The rest of the meal was very good but not exceptional.. Not having eaten at many restaurants in Indianapolis dont have a lot to compare.
I liked the sizing of the portions. A great way to gauge what your getting.
Servers were helpful.

Thank you for coming in and taking the time to write a review. We take great pride in what we do here and are so pleased that you enjoyed yourself. We are in a warehouse built in 1924 and there were a few trade-offs we had to make when it came to our space constraints. We look forward to your next visit.
