Traveled over from Rensselaer based on a recommendation. Food was tasty & reasonably priced. The smothered pork chops were a huge hit as well as the onion rings. They have outdoor dining but on a busy night, your wait will be longer. Wait staff also very friendly & courteous. We'll be back!

The place was very pretty and loved the view. I had the smothered pork chops which had great flavor but were a little tough, the vegetables were great. My husband had the catfish and it was tasty. My son ordered the pizza which we all tried and it was awful, way to expensive for the taste. Our waitress was okay, but her shorts were very inappropriate with her hind end hanging out. She also never asked if we would like a second drink or dessert. I must admit we would not stop there again, did not feel it was worth the expense.

We always try to have 1 dinner here when we visit Monticello but this time is was not even close to the standards that we're used too. My wife ordered pork chops, dry...I ordered the cowboy steak medium, came almost well done. My son ordered their chicken wings with a special request and messed that up. Maybe it was a bad day for them but all of us they messed up on...We'll be reconsidering visiting when we go back to Monticello next month.

Stopped for lunch . First time here. We were seated in an inside corner table with a wonderful view of the river. They do have outdoor seating. Grace, our server, was pleasant and attentive even when she had outdoor customers that required her to come clear across the restaurant to serve us. Had the chicken salad w/cottage cheese. Good portions on both. Small chunks of chicken mixed with relish/pickles ..not sure which. Not over the top with mayonnaise . Got a side of onion rings; crunchy with wide rings of onion; tasty. Also ordered the horseman's club sandwich. Thick slices of white bread with mounds of meats. Good chili with a bit of `tang.' This was a good stop on our way north through Indiana.
