Sometimes a bit of patience is needed, but overall they prepare wonderful breakfasts and super sandwiches and burgers. We have not had a dinner, yet. The waitresses in general are very friendly and welcoming. The food is fresh and well prepared. Portions are extremely large. We tend to split items.

My husband and I enjoyed an excellent meal here. I had a wonderful green apple martini and we shared an enormous appetizer of onion rings. They were fried in a tempura type batter and were light and crisp. Our prime rib was excellent. Prices were good. Our only complaint was that they were understaffed on a very busy night but our waitress tried her hardest to please.

Fun and delicious bar and restaurant! We were staying at the Lighthouse Lodge and went here for a late night dinner. Stromboli and burgers were delicious. Great prices!

We have been here a few times. We have eaten in the dining room and the bar area. The dining room is quiet. The bar is dark, but pretty quiet as well. Our service was nothing special. Seemed uninterested and slow. She would disappear for long periods of time oddly into the kitchen (almost like she had to cook-we do not believe that was the case however).

On our last visit to this restaurant we ordered the prime rib special and the chicken Kiev. The chicken was frozen from some wholesale place not good at all. The prime rib was over cooked and fatty. We enjoyed the soups and salads. But not enough to find any great quality to this establishment.

Food was appropriately priced for middle of the road quality. Overall the quietness of the establishment speaks loudly as to the value of the experience. Might be fun to go and say you have been, but we cannot recommend.

Moot and Hoot decided to take a gamble at Jimmy O's, because prime rib is hard to find in Monticello.
For a saturday, we noticed the place was pretty dead, even the bar, which contained a group of roughneck locals.
The drinks were the first let-down. I ordered an old fashioned, and Hoot had a manhatten. The drinks arrived in what I can only describe as an oversized shot glass. Two swallows and they were gone.
Dinner: My prime rib was undersized, overcooked, and rather chewy...I didn't like it.
Hoot had the lemon chicken, which was bland and under-seasoned. The atmosphere was equal to that of a funeral parlor with a bar attached to it.
