A great place to park your trailer. We have a 35 foot Rockwood Windjammer so we really need a pull thru space. Very friendly people running this campground. We are new at camping & they helped us several times with things we just didn't know. Would differently come here again.

Spent two nights in July here for the flea market. It is close, 1/2 mile from the grounds. The road is very busy, and both days we were there it was a parking lot most of the day when the market was open. Getting in and out with a RV takes cooperation from people on the road. The park is laid out well, easy to get a 35 foot fifth wheel around. Pull through sites were adequate size wise. The biggest knock on this park is the location of the utilities. The next door neighbors electric pole was right outside our door, and his sewer was right next to our picnic table. We had limited places for the table as there was a large pint tree on our lot. We paid for 50 amp service, and full hookups. Our electric pole was on our other neighbors lot, and it took over 30 feet of cord to reach it, so i was running 30 amp cords to reach our 50 amp cord. The sewer outlet was over 30 feet away and we did not have enough hose to reach it, and I carry a lot of hose. We used the dump station on the way out. A big issue, if you can reach the sewer, is that they are about 10 inches off the ground, which did not promote good draining, as we noted by our neighbor out there several times a day picking up his hose and draining it into the elevated sewer connection. Whoever laid out the hook ups obviously did not own an rv. Bathrooms were very clean, as were the grounds. We would probably stay again, due to the location, but wont pay for hookups we couldn't use.

This RV park is about 1/2 mile south of the Shipshewana Flea Market, and offers full hookups and pull-thru sites with wi-fi but not cable TV. The wi-fi was good, but not super-fast or reliable, depending how many other campers were online. About 15 over-the-air HDTV channels were available. The park has plenty of room for big rigs, allowing our fifth wheel lots of maneuverability. With the surrounding horse pasture and wonderful Amish buggies going by, Shipshewana South Park is a fun place to stay. Be sure to try the Amish meats and dairy products!

This is a great campground, in a great location. If you are familiar with Shipshewana you know about the HUGE Flea Market and all of the wonderful shops and Amish made items. The campground is located just south of where the Flea Market is held. It is about 2 blocks from the Shipshewana Event Center and two sides of the campground butt up to horse pastures.(no odors) Out the back window of our travel trailer we watched two draft horses graze. Since I am a horse person this made me a very happy camper. The campground is ground stone roadways and pads. Most sites are full hook-ups but we did see that they do have some electric only. There is thick and mowed grass next to the pads, a few mature trees are disbursed through the park. Nice showers and bathrooms and a very nice laundry room. Check in was quick and easy with a very friendly staff. We paid $42.00 a night which is a little higher than what we like to pay however for the area it is very reasonable. We highly recommend this campground.

My family really liked this campground and if there were a rating between average and very good I would have chosen that. We loved the relaxing, quiet atmosphere. We stayed on Tent Ln in a large pop up and our site was great. We had a beautiful pasture behind our camper and we were greeted by cows in the pasture twice a day. It was lovely and relaxing. The showers and bathrooms were very clean. However, I tried two ladies showers and one wouldn't stay on and was cold. The other stayed on but was too hot and you can't regulate the heat. Also, the shower curtains are not as wide as the shower stall so don't expect a ton of privacy as far as that's concerned. The one thing that I found quite odd is the lack of fire pits. There is not one at individual sites. There is a community fire pit (no thank you) and you can rent a fire pit to use at your campsite. However, good luck getting one. We tried for two days to no avail. We were told we were on a waiting list. You'd think for a campground without fire rings at the sites that they would have plenty available for rent. Very disappointing. It wasn't worth the money to go purchase one because this is the only campground we've ever been at that doesn't have one at the sites. Also, they don't have a store (ok they sell a few shirts and hats but that's about it) so bug spray, sunscreen, etc aren't available on site. There's not much for kids to do, but it is a nice, peaceful setting if that's what you're looking for. We will stay again.
