My husband really enjoyed his filet. It was cooked properly and delicious. I ordered the heirloom salad and a crab cake. The tomato salad was a small pizza crust with feta and a tiny amount of tomatoes. Very disappointing. The crab cake was just ok.

What an absolutely delightful experience! The cocktail and spirit offerings are over the top and the cuisine is superb. Congratulations to the bartender and the Chef!! The atmosphere of the restaurant would make any dining experience better. And the waiters among the best encountered at home and abroad. Try the duck in one or more of its many offerings and you can't go wrong. Loved it and will put this on my list for a return experience. Prices are reasonable for food and spirits depending on your order.

South Bend has really done a great job of redevelopment and that has attracted some top notch chefs. Cafe Navarre is as good as many great spots in bigger foodie cities. Service was excellent and polished. Food was well presented and very tasty. Pacing was perfect and not pushy. Pricing might seem a bit high but was justified by the quality. Overall a very nice experience.

The wife and I got tickets to ND home opener and were looking for a nice dinner while we were in town. I booked a reservation through open table after researching upscale dining in the South Bend area. Cafe Navarre did not disappoint! We enjoyed an excellent meal amid beautiful surroundings with excellent service. Yes, the wild mushroom soup is superb. They had a nice menu and excellent cocktails/wine offerings. This was truly an excellent choice.
