“Lots of vendors and variety”

South Bend Farmer's Market

Although I believe the market is open 7 days a week, we visited on a Saturday. This seemed like the best day. There were only a couple of empty spaces in the entire market, and even one of these had a sign that said the vendor was out because of sickness.

We took our time and enjoyed walking through the crowd and perusing the various offerings. There were many vendors selling fresh vegetables and also plants such as tomatoes, peppers, and cucumbers. It was also the beginning of strawberry season and there were lots to choose from for so early in the season.

One of the shops that I was most impressed with sold coffee, tea, and spices. They seemed to have more spices than I knew existed and more varieties of coffees than Starbucks. I am not a coffee fan, so I didn't try any of them, but it would be a great place to get a cup on a Saturday morning.

For anyone looking for something to do in South Bend on a Saturday, head down to the Farmer's Market. It is right on the river, which also provides for a scenic walk if you are up for it.

Been going here most of my life and still has the freshest produce of the season. Love going here when I can and look forward to the meals I can prepare with the best of the seasons ingredients. They have a restaurant that serves might good food as well. Do yourself a favor and support the local farmers too.

Excellent place to get the best fresh vegetables, fruit, meat, eggs, coffee, baked goods and much, much, more! The SB FM is vibrant, fun and you can even get breakfast there. Plus, there are nearby gems like Bambers & Oh Mammas on the Avenue.

would"nt you think that if you served hamburgers , that they would be fresh patted from one of thier own meat vendors , instead of a frozen patty . The quality was less than a fast food and higher priced..Ive eaten thier before and was unhappy then too, thought I would give them another try.. Eat before you go there shopping !

We visited here on a Sat morning and it was packed! Easy to see why as they offer a wide variety from meats and cheese to fruits, vegetables, very nice coffee blends and teas. Prices were moderate.
