I stayed here while passing through town. This is an older style Fairfield. It appears to have been recently updated. It is very consistant with what you can expect from a Fairfield Inn. Clean, quiet, good staff and a complimentary breakfast.

Stayed: August 2017, travelled solo

The hotel is starting to show its age, but was still very clean. Hotel staff were great to work with. Breakfast was your typical Fairfield Inn breakfast. The internet worked very well. The way the hotel is positioned, a lot of rooms have traffic noise. I would stay there again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room as far away from Dodge St. as possible.

The staff is friendly and helpful, the lobby is bright and clean, the rooms are spacious and comfy, and the complimentary hot breakfast is superb, especially if you like to eat healthy--oatmeal, fresh fruit, yogurt, three kinds of eggs!

First time staying at Fairfield in DBQ, and will be my new home anytime I am in town. A bit off the highway to get to, but very clean, comfortable and the best customer service I have received in years. Rooms are modernly styled, clean, have all the amenities including a fridge and microwave. The breakfast buffet was beyond what is normally served at hotels with numerous entrees and more condiments than usual. The staff could not be more helpful or friendly. Only thing I might recommend is a bench outside to sit and relax with breakfast or a breath of fresh air. Hotel has a pool and exercise room, with plenty of parking.

Room Tip: ask for an upper floor, away from Dodge Street

I could hear the person next door snoring. Between that and the noise from cars passing on the nearby highway, I had a very hard time going to sleep and staying asleep. Otherwise, it is a decent, "basic" hotel.

Room Tip: Get a room at the far end from the highway

TMIHospitality, Manager at Fairfield Inn Dubuque, responded to this reviewResponded 31 August 2017

Dear DavidTravelerGeorgia,
Thank you for taking the time to review the Fairfield Inn Dubuque. I'm very sorry to hear you were not able to get the peaceful night's sleep you were looking forward to. I know how frustrating that is when that happens. In the future we'd be more than happy to find you a room in a quieter area of the hotel to better suit your needs. I hope we will have another chance to host you should your travels bring you back our way.

Sincerely,
Connie J.
General Manager
