My husband and I have just returned from a month in Toronto where the food is not up to much, we were meeting up with our friend for an Easter Sunday meal so she booked our favourite restaurant.
We’ve been coming for meals for at least 5 years and when we heard it had changed hands it was with some trepidation we came today. We were greeted by the lovely Charlotte, that was a good start a familiar face. We were shown to our table with beautiful views over the wonderful countryside.
The menu was varied and although we could have been spoilt for choice my husband and I had already decided we wanted Lamb, it’s not readily available in Toronto, our friend ordered Pork. Our order was taken by Rob who was very attentive and good humoured......I was the odd woman who got a serving of delicious pork crackling with lamb!
I’ve been reading reviews now and really I can not fault anything. It was extremely busy, we were there from 4.15 until 6pm, we were not rushed, the food was piping hot, good quality and plenty of it. Prices are in line with many other places we’ve eaten but I think this is still our favourite and will continue to make the journey from Cleckheaton in the not too distant future. Good luck to the new owner the staff are doing a great job.More
