Very nice resort. Resorts mangement staffs are very helpful. My special thanks to Hari babu for all the good foods he served with smile. It is far away from city crowds, noise and pollution and hence a good place to relax and de - stress. I would recommend this resort to all the people who love to visit back water. Once again thanks to all the staff memebers of resort for making our trip memorable.

Truly a serene and a beautiful time that can be spent for people who are in the look out of no rush.
You would't really get out of this place once you check in to sight seeing to be honest as this resprt it self has everything in for you to rejuvenate.

As many others, we too were allured by the excellent Tripadvisor rating and reviews. In light of this we feel the need to share our view of our own first-hand experiences during our brief stay at Vedic Village in Kerala, India. We were originally planning on staying here for a week as the relaxing and winding-down part of our almost month-long November-December tour of India. However, on arrival we found our designated room to be in such a terrible hygienic state that we decided to check out within a few hours - an option neither of us has EVER felt the need to consider at any other hotel we've stayed at in the past (and we do travel a lot, having stayed at dozens of hotels all around the world in Europe, Asia, Africa and the US).

To be perfectly honest, we simply cannot understand how this establishment has achieved such a high Tripadvisor ranking. Moreover, the fact that they dare to charge $100+ per night is nothing short of outrageous. This kind of price tag would normally give you a deluxe room at a five-star hotel in India, but instead you get this:

- Cramped hotel grounds pestered by mosquitoes in the evening
- Rooms obviously not cleaned for weeks with thick layers of dust and, occasionally, human hair (this is actually on the brink of being downright unsanitary, the authorities should look into this matter)
- In-room refrigerator with mould stains on inner walls
- Weird black crumbles in the beds
- A nice colony of disgusting bugs living behind one of the paintings on the wall
- A bar of soap with bite marks on it
- Shower lacking hot water

We had such high hopes for our stay at Vedic Village. But apart from the graceful response from the staff and the decent meal we enjoyed before leaving, our brief experience at this establishment was an enormous letdown and we would strongly discourage anyone from staying here. Thus, Vedic Village has the dubious honor of receiving our first one-star review ever. Needless to say, won't be staying here again.

Good resort for a short stay. Maximum of 2 days. Main concern is cleanliness of swimming pool. Even after request , they did n't do anything on this. Food is good. But only one support staff in restaurant.

I went there during December with my family. It is a nice place for a quiet stay for a weekend. The rooms are clean and to modern taste. Pool with a kids pool annexe kept the kids engaged. The food was excellent , made to order. The staff were friendly, ready to help. Economical too. The holiday fitted our expectations to have some quality time together with the family Thanks Vedic Village.

Cons
1) Nothing much to do outside the resort except Cherai beach, Kodunaglloor Bhagavathy temple or you stretch yourselves to a trip to Kochi.May get bored after 2 days.
Tips

Order food early. Will take time as it is made only for us. But worth waiting....

Room Tip: Not much difference in view . Still go for queens nest rooms overlooking the pool.
