We stumbled upon this place on our way to Cayton Bay for a days surfing. We were on the look out for somewhere that sold bacon sandwiches. This fantastic place sold the most perfect delicious bacon and sausage sandwiches I have had in a long time. We took them as a take away with a coffee.
Because we loved the place so much we decided to call back in on our way home. This time we sat inside and ordered various cakes and chocolate tarts and ice cream...... Amazing.
The shop also stocks lots of delicious looking frozen food and ice creams. I will definitely call in again when I go surfing. Not to be missed if you are in the area.

We had passed this place before so decided to try it out for lunch. We walked into a very full tea room (only about 4/5 tables) and thought our luck was out....but the lady in the shop advised us that the 'garden room' was open at the front of the building which had more tables. The lady came to light the 'patio' heater and this was certainly needed as it was very cold and maybe should have gone on a little earlier, but the room then very quickly filled up with more people....We ordered the January special of soup and a cheese scone with onion relish, which was very tasty and warming. The only thing I regretted was not going back in to the shop to buy some cake...as the garden room led straight out to where we were parked !

We purchased a Groupon voucher for a breakfast and decided to call today as we were going to B & Q to do some shopping. Our Sat nav found the place with no 'hiccups' and there was ample parking and as I am disabled was pleased to be able to park near the entrance.
We were amazed at all the well stocked shelves supporting a variety of vegetables, fresh bread and lots of other goodies to numerous to mention. I even saw a collection of home made greetings cards at affordable prices.
Everywhere looked clean and fresh including the washroom adapted for the disabled.
The breakfast was well presented and not just thrown on the plate. Three rashers of 'good' bacon, fresh fried tomatoes, 'meaty' sausages, nicely fried egg, brown and white toast served with butter and jam and marmalade if requested. We had a large tea pot enough for more than two cups each. The young lady serving was very friendly and helpful.
We will certainly call back when we are in that locality and taste some of the lunches and home made pastries.

Popped in here with my mum and dad for a cup of tea and cake. Fast service and home made cake. Been here before and it's always good. The farm shop is also very good. With rare breed free range eggs priced very reasonably.

Me and my daughter visited today and both had an English breakfast, which is served until 3pm everyday. The full english consists of 2 sausage, 2 bacon, 1 egg, tomato, with 2 slices of toast, real butter and either jam or marmalade, and a pot of tea or coffee. The quality of all the components was top notch, the egg was fresh and perfectly cooked. The staff and Sally could not have been more welcoming or helpful. If you want to take your dog, then you need to go in the garden room. Will definitely return.
If you want to combine it with a little walk before or afterwards (maybe when it stops raining!), there is a lovely wide bridlepath leading from the top of the lane in Potter Brompton across the fields (parallel with the A64) east towards Ganton. Doesn't take long but is lovely in summer.
