We visited Dale Hollow Resort in early November. We had never stayed in a State Park Resort and were very impressed. The lodge is located on the lake away from the campgrounds and you have the feel of a private resort. We originally booked for 3 days but loved it so much we stayed an extra day. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We had excellent weather and were able to take advantage of the wonderful hiking trails and one of the most gorgeous 18 hole Pro golf courses I have seen. The rates for golf were so reasonable and they also offer room/golf packages. We golfed every day. We upgraded to a lake view room for only $20 more per night. It was well worth it. Unbelievably beautiful view of a wonderful lake. We got up every morning for coffee on our balcony to watch the sunrise. Something that is a definite must even if you just do it once. We were pleased to know it is pet friendly, as we travel with our dog. It is just a one time fee of $30 for your dog and you must let them know when you book your stay if you are traveling with your pet. What I really find appealing are the wood floors in the room. Not the typical old carpeted floors. The room was immaculate, quiet, and very comfy beds. The room was also a nice size. The bathroom was very clean and spacious. It is a perfect place to stay put with plenty of things to do and enjoy, but it is also conveniently located to take day trips outside the park. Easy day trips to Lake Cumberland or even Nashville! We ate dinner one night and breakfast one morning at the restaurant. We enjoyed both, including the panoramic views of the lake while we ate. We are from Wisconsin and it was about a 9 hour drive but well worth it ! We are already planning on going back this coming Sept or Oct. This is our favorite new "must go to" place!

Room Tip: Definitely book a lake view room.

We are so pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us. We look forward to making you feel at home on your return visit. If you didn't get the opportunity to do so on your first visit, make sure you check out Eagle Point for the best view in the South!

Came for a holiday weekend getaway. Stayed one night and left. The lodge common areas are clean. Our lodge room was clean but the furnishings, pastel wall color and artwork are quite dated. We opted for the Thanksgiving buffet for dinner at the onsite restaurant and arrived at 5:30 pm. Disappointed the food was dried out and picked over. We were surprised considering the advertisement said dinner was served until 8 pm. Servers were tired and inattentive. The positives of this property is the amazing views of the lake and numerous hiking trails surrounding the lodge area.

We have been to Dale Hollow State Park three times. We love the area. The staff are very friendly. We didn't have a buffet the night we were there, but the food was still good. They were painting the outside of the building where are room was, but they let us change with no problem. The bed was very comfortable. We had a great view of the lake.

Room Tip: We have never had a bad room. I like one closer to the main lodge.

Went here with my husband and son to relax for 2 nights...so peaceful. We challenged each other at mini golf! Hubby loved the fish and frog legs on the buffet. The buffet salad bar was great too! The servers and chefs were delightful.
The room was clean with a gorgeous lake view. Loved the beds...especially the white spreads.
Really liked the non carpet floors...seemed cleaner. The bathroom was spacious.
While we were in the dining room, golfers and boaters would come and go. It's a beautiful location for those activities.
I wish the park would add horseback riding for the public. Rode at Barren River State Park many years ago...such fun!
Highly recommend this wonderful lodge and park!

While its true we do not have our own stables we are fortunate to have horse camping and trails for horseback riding with many miles of scenic trails. We hope you get to come back soon and enjoy some of the beautiful fall colors.

I recently went on a three day trip to Dale Hallow with a senior group and really enjoyed the beautiful lodge. The food was excellent. We played miniture golf, went on a pontoon boat ride and made tie dyed shirts. The lake was beautiful. Our boat driver was very informative about the lake's history.I was amazed to see all the beautiful houseboats. The only thing I didn't like was the hard mattress. I mentioned it to other friends in our group and some agreed with me that their matress was hard but others said theirs were soft. I guess all the matresses were not the same.

Room Tip: Handicap rooms are available with connecting rooms..If you have trouble walking, ask for a room close to the lodge. Not a bad walk.
