Description: The Old Stone Farmhouse is an award winning, fine dining restaurant. Set in a wooded valley close to the 11th hole of the Mahogany Run Golf Course, this restaurant is located in a 200 year old restored field house on the lush countryside of St. Thomas. It was created as a stable for a nearby Danish sugar plantation, and the walls are more than 2 feet thick. Ceiling fans and breezes blowing through the valley keep the place cool. The building's distinctive character is shown with native stone walls, original hardwood floors, brick arches, and a charming covered palm-lined courtyard. The restaurant features "Chef Inspired" fine dining in an intimate and elegant atmosphere. The cuisine is ingredient driven and will change with each season. The Old Stone Farmhouse is one of the most romantic and elegant dinner settings anywhere, offering old-world charm and a second-to-none dining experience. Personalized attention makes dining here a delight.

We love the Old Stone Farmhouse! It is so beautiful and historic. Your evening starts with the best Valet on island. Valet Jake is on it!!! Even if it is pouring rain or you have special needs he has got you covered! Then you walk down the stone steps and get a great view of the lovely courtyard. By now the hostess sees you and is ready to seat you. The servers are always professional and knowledgeable! This visit we enjoyed the seared scallops and the foie gras torchon both delicious. We then enjoyed the dark rum braised oxtail ragu tossed in pappardelle pasta, arugula with plenty of parmesan reggiano...YUM! For the entree we ordered the kurobuta pork chop and the rack of lamb. Both entrees were exceptional, cooked to perfection, the food was delicious! We also liked the way the food was timed perfectly so we had time to enjoy our bottles of Abstract wine:-) our server Mandy was so sweet and knowledgeable about how we wanted to enjoy our evening. We never felt rushed or ignored. She made sure to professionally SERVE us. The manager Ben is very nice he came to our table twice once to make sure our meal was perfect and again to thank us for choosing the Old Stone Farmhouse for our evening out. Ben also let us know about the Jazz nights in the courtyard and welcomed us back for whatever we need. The Old Stone Farmhouse is a beautiful restaurant that can be enjoyed by all:-)

Four of us went here for dinner and no one enjoyed our meals. We began with a charcuterie board for the table. The server was not able to name or describe any of the three cheese selections on the board. One of the guests ordered the gazpacho soup that was too salty to even eat. We were expecting an average meal for the price point but were all very disappointed in the food and the service. None of us wanted to finish our entrees. We all remarked that we had better food at a bar that day for lunch that was 1/8 th the cost of meal that evening.

This restaurant was recommended by some very good friends who have the same ideas as we do, as to what makes a restaurant great.
When you walk in, the place is very nice. After that, it went downhill. The waitress asked if we wanted to order drinks. We did, and my friend ordered a glass of the house Pino Grigio. They came back and told her that they did not have any more of the house Pino. One would think with extensive wine list that they have, that they would be accommodating and open another Pino. But no, so she asked for the drink menu. The menu came and so did one ice tea and the waitress disappeared for about fifteen minutes.
When she came back, we had to remind her that she did not bring my wine. She told us that she told someone else to do that. She took my friends drink order and came back with my wine.
We all had the bland Caesar Salad. Not to go on and on, the meal was mediocre. We had pork chops and lamb chops. Service was very slow. When i went to the rest room, I saw our waitress in deep conversation with the bartender. It took a while to get our check and then we were out of there. Probably one of the worst dining experiences I have had, especially at that price.

Today we had the pool company send a guy to vacuum the pool here where we were staying while in St. Thomas. He suggested we try the food at Old Stone Farmhouse for dinner. What a grand experience! We just returned home from eating there and it was amazing. I had the pork chop, my husband had the sea bass, our friends had the duck and mahi-mahi. Every dish was delicious. The desserts were even more awesome. From the time we arrived, everyone was kind and friendly. Jennifer B. was the best as our waitress. I would definitely recommend this experience to everyone who would like a fine dining experience.

We had dinner here one night and the service was good and so was the food. Ambiance is very nice. We decided to try them for brunch one Sunday and when we arrived the security guard said the kitchen staff did not show up, so no brunch today. From some of the other reviews you can see how inconsistent this place is. We will see if management can get this place where it should be. I would give it some time and try it again.
