Stopped here for lunch with friends. I ordered the burger special well done, friend ordered roast beef poboy and other friend ordered shrimp and squash casserole. Food was out very quickly. My burger was raw. Not just undercooked but raw. The roast beef poboy was deli sliced (like from the grocery store) roast beef in brown gravy. The squash and shrimp casserole was slimy and cold. So essentially with a menu that big you are getting frozen food that they are heating up and serving at a hefty price. This isn't fresh food. And they want to rush it out and serve it raw or cold. I will not go here again. And would not recommend this place to others.

This is a spot frequented by locals, and it has good food and service. Somewhat eclecticly decorated, it is a place that has that homespun atmosphere. The seafood gumbo is recommended as is the very satisfying BLT. The red beans and rice with a grilled pork chop was also a keeper. Often times, it's the little things that mean a lot. The red beans came with a nice slice of warm french bread with garlic butter. Last night we went to NOLA and paid twice as much for, oh so much less. Both are located on the same street just a mile or so away. Wednesday nights it's 55% for seniors. A great deal!

The atmosphere is very cajun. The servers are great! They had this amazing burger and the bun was slightly sweet. They've changed the bun, and now it tastes like you're eating a dry sponge with meat.

The cafe was homey; and, the staff was very friendly. There seem to be quite a few regulars there. I had the seafood buffet and it was yummy. The the artichoke and oyster soup was outstanding.

Despite a discounted meal for seniors on Wednesday nights, they still provide good service and portions are generous. We enjoyed Pecan Crusted Catfish, Rib Platter, and a Seafood Plate. We enjoyed them all. It is a small venue, but worth the wait for the price.
