My fiance and I just wanted to get a way to a place where we could relax that was not to far from our home in Portland but far enough away where we felt like we were on vacation. Wow, did this place provide us with exactly what we were looking for. This gorgeous spot is on a dead end road on the coast! It gave us the feeling that we were at a very fancy, adult Summer camp. There was a pool, water toys to rent, a fire pit that we took full advantage of and a restaurant with pretty good food. All of this surrounded by beautiful water views. We parked the car and didnt get back in it until it was time to leave. The rooms were very nice and clean. The staff was so nice and helpful, thank you to James and Mary who went above and beyond to make our stay even better than we could have imagined. If you are looking for a place to feel far away (even though downtown BoothBay is close) where you can fully relax in a somewhat upscale but very comfortable place the Linekin Bay Resort is it! I would have been more upset to leave if we had not booked another night there before they close for the season, but that was a must!!

We spend a long weekend there every summer, and our family has been going there for decades. The greatest thing about Linekin Bay is the warmth of the people--from the sailing instructors to the kitchen staff, everyone really cares about your experience. Oh, and having those spectacular views of Linekin Bay doesn't hurt either!

My husband and I, joined by our three kids, their spouses and six young grandchildren (age seven months to eight years), spent a glorious week at Linekin Bay Resort. This was a first visit to Linekin Bay for all of us, and it could not have been better. I can't say enough good about our experience. East Lodge was a dream, with six bedrooms and five baths. All bedrooms have amazing views, and the front porch overlooking the dock was spectacular. East Lodge allowed us to all be together, while still being part of the resort. Because the focus was on the kids, and the kids were engaged, we were all able to better relax. The kids camp was great for the 4-8 year olds. The big variety of water-associated activities turned all of us into kids. The dining room had a variety of food that satisfied everyone. And the special evening events (lobster bake, happy hour welcoming wine event) were a lot of fun. Linekin Bay was the perfect way for me to celebrate my 70th, surrounded by the people I love most in this world. My kids and their families all live far from each other and this was a perfect way for them to rediscover how much they enjoy being together. We all agree that we will return to Linekin Bay.

We come here often. Very friendly and accommodating staff. John at the bar is always welcoming. It seems like he never leaves. Food is great and reasonably priced. Add in that you can arrive by boat (many new floats added this year) and get picked up by launch from a mooring or nearby dock and a fire pit to sit around for after dinner drinks, how can you beat it?

Linekin Bay has recently been taken over by the folks who run the Newagen Inn on Southport. This is good news. Linekin Bay needed major investment and it's getting it. The results already are apparent in lunch on the terrace overlooking the lovely bay. Great food of the Maine summer sort. Good service. Spectacular location. Use your gps navigator to fine the resort - makes it much easier.
