View to Bar Harbor on a clear day. At least to the peaks and islands of Northern Maine. Spectacular views abound. Great for hiking and walking.

We visited in September and the views so so beautiful. The tower was interesting. Camden is a cute little town. We enjoyed our tour of the Maine coast and would recommend it.

Must do if visiting Camden. If nothing else, you can drive up[ easy drive] to the Mount Battie overlook. Amazing views.[ There is a $6 per person charge]. My wife and I did 2 hiking trails- Megunticook Trail and Bald Rock Trail. Would rate as moderate but very doable. You will be rewarded with outstanding views at the top. Just a very fun experience on a clear day.

Last month (September 2017) we hiked up Mt. Megunticook in the Camden Hills State Park. This was a moderate level hike that was worth every huff and puff. The descriptions and time estimates, an hour up and an hour down, were quite accurate. The trail was challenging enough that we could handle and enjoy. The view on top was spectacular. Highly recommended for those who want to enjoy the beautiful outdoors of the Camden area.

This was recommended to us by a local merchant. I am sure glad we went. Beautiful views of the bay. Great for pictures. Has a stone tower for even better views. Easy access. Parking area and turn around. Did have to pay for entrance into the park, parking free.

Hi 77joanw,

I'm glad you had good weather for your visit. This has been a good year for good weather. Our fees are entrance fees rather than parking fees. Fees are per person with discounts for those 65 years of age or more.
