Wow!! That's how I'll start my review. This sailing excursion was a fantastic idea and our group had an AMAZING time! We loved being able to bring snacks/beverages aboard. The 2 captains were great and made us all feel welcomed. This excursion was well worth the cost and we'd do it again in a heartbeat. What a beautiful afternoon we had.

Went as group of 40 split between schooners (windjammer) Lazy Jack II and Olad. We were fortunate to have a sunny day with a nice breeze. Good safety briefing before we set off and nice that crew involved guests in uphauling the gaff rig. We had a very pleasant 2 hour sail out to the islands and back with a nice running commentary by our skipper, who encouraged us to move about and get pictures but kept us all safe from swinging booms and ropes. Very professional operation but obviously very weather dependent.

The captain who also built the schooner was informative about the area. The first mate was friendly and visited with the people on the tour. But most important was the fact that it was a quiet relaxing trip on a sailing vessel.

We REALLY highly recommend Lazy Jack II of Camden with experienced Captain (Sean) and First Mate (Leo). They were talkative, friendly, informative and the boat is a beautiful, responsive, and safe boat. As former sailboat owners, we decided to take a relative for a sail and chose Lazy Jack II. We couldn't have been happier! It was a great group with Captain Sean (who built the boat) and First Mate, Leo. Although we are local, our relative is not. Captain Sean was so helpful about the area and history. Weather was fantastic - steady wind. It was a wonderful experience and we're all still talking about it.

My wife and I took a two hour cruise aboard the Lazy Jack II Schooner during the week of Aug. 21, 2017. Captain John was very informative and always willing to answer questions. The First Mate, Leo chipped in with interesting stories and local color. My wife and I had the added benefit of taking the morning cruise and only two other passengers were aboard.

This may be one of the smallest schooners in the Camden Bay fleet but don’t let that deter you.
