While staying in Maine, we were on a mission to eat lobster rolls, and stopped in at Surry Seafood Co, where the lobster rolls were so good that we went back there for dinner the next night
Most places have the Friehoffer Split Top Rolls, but we were told that a bakery makes their bread and it is slightly different. Not only slightly different, but amazingly good different! It was a grilled brioche split top roll that tasted light, buttery, and had a real nice texture to it that not only stood up to the lobster, but enhanced the flavor. The lobster was fresh, lightly dressed, and was flowing over the top of the roll. It was one of the best lobster rolls that I've ever had.
