My boyfriend received a gift card for this restaurant, so we checked it out this past weekend. What a nice surprise! The service, menu, and food were exceptional. We started with escargot, which is a rare find in this area, and were pleased. I had the Paella, which was perfectly seasoned and delicious, containing all the seafood and sausage it needed. My boyfriend had the filet mignon, which was very tender, with mashed and onions, etc. The bread was moist and light, seasoned and ready to dip in oil. We topped off our meal with a perfectly created creme brulee, one of our favorite desserts. Our compliments to the chef! Every meal that passed through the dining room looked as good as ours, and it was tough to decide what to have but we were both very happy with our choices, and we will be back to try more. Our server, Abby, was wonderful and attentive. It was a great dining experience overall!

MK Kitchen is an amazing gem in Gorham, ME. Jessica provided great service. The menu includes a selection of food options that can accommodate all. The quality is top notch. We had the mozzarella ravioli, chicken under a brick and the halibut special... all were great. The deserts... well, take a look at the pictures we attached. Try them.. you'll love them.

Went to dinner at MK with another couple on a Saturday night. Had made 7:00 reservations on OpenTable, and we were seated promptly. The place seemed to be full, which is good to see that it is doing well in downtown Gorham. Our server was awesome. Attentive, knowledgeable and made good suggestions. We shared the crab cake special appetizer and mussel appetizer. Both were very good. We would have liked more bread to sop up the garlic broth, but also did not want to fill up on bread. 3 of us started with pomegranate cosmopolitans, which were perfectly prepared. The entrees arrived after the appetizer plates had been cleared, and were nicely presented. Good size portions and very tasty. We skipped dessert. The dinner was about $100/couple with tip. Definitely a good time.

I rarely review a restaurant twice, but MUST give MK Kitchen another 5 Stars. We were in Portland for just a few days for our honeymoon and, although we could have chosen to go to ANY restaurant in the region, we chose to dine with Mitch, Lisa and their team again. And, we returned the following day to sit at the bar to enjoy BarMaster Gregg's cocktails and Mitch's outstanding Lobster Cones and Pan Roasted Mussels. Very wise Honeymoon dining decisions that made us both VERY glad we did. We had the Clam Chowder, Escargot, Duck Liver Paté, Gaucho Mixed Grill and the Scallops! Each and every item was superb, gorgeously prepared and served with genuine warmth and graciousness. The entire staff, including our outstanding server, Abby, clearly cared that it be a memorable honeymoon experience. We had heard that sitting and dining at the bar can be as fun, relaxing and enjoyable as sitting at one of the dining floor tables, so we tried that and it proved true. We've eaten at great restaurants on the East Coast in Portland, Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Washington, DC, Atlanta, and throughout Florida and I don't think I'm exaggerating to say that Mitch and Lisa are rivaling them all, and definitely surpassing many with MUCH bigger names. Do NOT miss MK Kitchen! (Please note if this was helpful.)

What a great find! Looking for an upscale restaurant in the Sebago Lake area is not an easy find without going to Portland. But in the heart of Gorham Center, is this corner Gem, with excellent food that has blends of flavor and style, modern interior, efficient and engaging service staff. The chef and his wife are easily available for suggestions, the staff is very knowledgeable with pared wines. The location has an elegant bar also. Parking can be a challenge, and reservations are strongly urged. A web site is also available with a story line. We will definitely be going back.
