A snowy Thursday early February at 2PM, called for a warming Pho lunch. We were on our way out from Portland and found Huong located on a busy area of St. John street. It looked like they had several regulars coming for lunch. Very friendly and efficient waitress. Street parking.
The generous portion turned out to be dinner as well:
Shrimp spring roll with a light peanut sauce- fresh and delish. Score 3*
Pho with rare steak (although the meat will be cooked through in the steamy broth). Satisfying broth made very yummy with the Thai basil, culantro and other trimmings. Score 4*
Steak curry stir fry, nice ratio of meat and veggies, tasty. Sauce on the sweet side. Score 3*
The $4 glass of red wine was ok.
