I have stayed in Portland several times, but this was my first visit to the Portland Harbor Hotel.
The exterior gave no clue to the elegance and professionalism that lay within. Undoubtedly my new favorite!

We were just at the Portland Harbor Hotel (Dec 1- Dec 3). The rooms were pretty. We had coffee on our floor which was very convenient. The room service was great (as was the concierge)! omelets in bed

Room Tip: we were on a top floor (7) and it was quiet!

I was a walk-in. I could have driven home after shopping but decided to take a day off. Because of PHH, I didn't have to worry about my car, my purchases, anything. Somebody there has really thought this through.

We stayed here for three nights over the thanksgiving break.

We were in room 410 which was at the end of the hallway so we didn’t hear any noise from foot traffic or the street noise as other TA reviewers have mentioned in the past.

Our room was clean and tidied daily. Turndown service included slippers, water and a chocolate treat.

I really like the nautical theme the room has going on. Furniture was very new and sturdy. The charging slot on the bedside tables was a smart idea! Very conveniently located power ports.

The shower pressure was good.

We were lucky to snag a great 3 night deal from their website which made the stay quite affordable.

I liked the complimentary coffee in the common area on each level however the hot chocolate, chai latte and hot water options would overfill the mugs making it a messy process. As we were having our drinks in the room, I do prefer not using disposable coffee cups for environmental reasons. Perhaps they could change the settings to fill less or get larger mugs? Though the ones they have already are quite heavy.

Valet service was fast and the guys were very friendly.

The fire pit in the courtyard was very warming but when we went at around 10pm the first night, there were many empty glasses that hadn’t been cleared. They close the gas off at 10:30pm nightly.

We checked out the fitness centre which was decent; we didn’t use it though.

Would recommend to other travellers and stay again next time when visiting Portland!
