“Fantastic quiet weekend away”
Reviewed 17 April 2016 for a stay in April 2016

I came with 3 girlfriends and had a fantastic time. The place is in the middle of the national park and it's perfect for a quiet relaxing getaway. Surrounded by wombats and kangaroos, simply stunning. The house is fully equipped so you don't have to leave at all!! Stunning views and great woodburner. The road does say 4WD only so not really suitable for a small car. Will absolutely stay here again! Thanks

“A lovely place in the middle of the forest”
Reviewed 9 December 2015 for a stay in December 2015

My husband and stayed in this cottage because we love walking and wildlife. The house is surrounded by Morton National Park. Sitting on the huge deck, you could honestly imagine you are the last humans on earth. The only sound is the sounds of the many birds you can see while there. We also saw wombats and wallabies every night. Magic. The bed was beautifully comfortable, it was airconditioned and would have been quite hot without it. Great bathroom, and extremely well stocked kitchen. Everything you need to cook anything you need to. Stock up on food before you come and then you don't even need to leave the property. We went walking long drive and on to the fire trail nearby - saw less than 5 cars on this road in 3 walks! If you want to get away from it all this is the place. The only downer was that the booking process was extremely old fashioned and difficult.

“Secluded and peaceful with a brilliant veranda and a kitchen to die for!”
Reviewed 4 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Wombat Lodge is a lovely remote and secluded property where all you can see for miles are trees and all you need to do is relax on the veranda, watch the resident wombats and let the quiet fill you with calm.

It is a wonderful size for 2 couples (and our small dog) and both queen bedrooms are comfortable and well heated for the cold valley nights. The kitchen provides you with every thing you could possibly want with an oversized oven which fit a large Turkey and all the trimmings easily has a lovely island for meals or prep space.

The only 'small' issues were with the cleaners not checking on things was the tanks ran out of water Saturday morning and 3 of 4 gas bottles were empty but these were fixed as soon as a call was made to Kangaroo Valley Getaways.

We will definitely be back again as our 4 day long weekend was perfectly relaxing and peaceful.

“Idyllic country getaway swarming with wombats”
Reviewed 29 April 2015 for a stay in April 2015

Nicely renovated spacious house with great facilities and a kitchen to die for. Beautiful bush location with a spectacular view and gangs of wombats foraging at the bottom of the garden -- it's not just a clever name. It's about 20 minutes drive from Kangaroo Valley town and gets a bit bumpy towards the end but once you get there you won't care.
