Being from Memphis, i'm hard to please, but the pulled pork here is very good. Well seasoned as it smoked, and nice burnt ends. would be better to have a choice of sauces instead of just their one, but it's pretty good. Sides could maybe be a bit more flavorful, but all in all not back for something 'north of the Mason-Dixon' ! :-)

We found this restaurant on Trip Advisor and were in Portland today so went to check it out. My husband is not as big fan of BBQ but he knows how I love it. We walked in the door and were totally confused by all the signs and selections. As we were looking around a young gentleman approached, asked if it was our first time there. He escorted us to the ordering station and told us the simplicity of ordering. The order was brought quickly to our table; this same young man stopped to see how everything was and let us know that he had lowered the music as he thought it might be too loud for us. On our way out the door we were carrying our trays and he arrived at our elbow to relieve us of those trays and trash. It was first class service which we did not expect. The food was wonderful. It was a nice experience; we will go again when in Portland. Hubby had the smoked chicken sandwich and I had their pulled pork tray complete with 2 sides and light delicious cornbread.

We stopped for lunch on the long way home. It's a big place in an out of the way strip mall. When you go in, current specials are listed on chalkboards. We ordered the red neck nachos, a turkey sandwich, a big salad, and a pulled pork sandwich. All were hot, fresh And delicious. And huge. We ended up bringing a lot home. Only thing that was not perfect ( for our taste) was that nachos had a cheese spread, not cheese). Anyways, a great spot to stop.

We lived down south for many years. Once we moved to maine we found we were seriously missing some of the southern food we had grown to love. Moe's gives us that comfort food we have been missing. The beef brisket with white sauce, the pulled pork, chicken all the meats have been perfect every time. The sides are also amazing. My personal favorites are the baked beans, potato salad, and the corn bread. The nacho's appetizer is a meal in itself!! Go hungry and leaved stuffed with the generous portions. The to go service has been great too. I called ahead and was able to have a meal big enough to feed 10 in about 2 hours.

Go to Moe's try their food! If you like southern cooking they provide it!
