We stayed at Gîte du Champayeur for one night in late October and wish it could have been a longer stay. Jacques, the owner, is an excellent host and serves a gourmet breakfast. We were a party of 3 and required two rooms which were both very comfortable and spotlessly clean. We traveled from the USA to explore Warwick and Tingwick. Jacques was very helpful with his knowledge of the area and assisted us in locating places we wished to see. Highly recommended!

I had to be in business in Kingsey Falls and was looking for a place to stay and found "Le Champayeur" right here on TripAdvisor. I decided to stay there based on what i read and the fact that it wasnt to far from where i needed to be. I spent 3 nights there and the best part of my stay was the breakfasts served every morning! So delicious, and different each morning. Mr jacques (the owner) even offered to give me a portion to bring with me while I go work as a mid-morning snack (much appreciated). The house itself is gorgeous. I stayed in the "Les Maitres" room, slept very well (some might find the bed a bit hard, but personally, i didnt mind). Mr Jacques never minded sharing information about the town (where to eat, activities coming up, etc). I would highly recommend! and by the way, I'm a female travelling alone and I felt completely safe!

We stayed at Le Gite du Champayeur for two wonderful nights.
As we travel with four children, we always look for places to stay where both parents and kids would be happy, and (very importantly) where such a big group would be welcomed. Jacques offered us two rooms: the beautiful and cozy Philippe, and the spacious Loft. If you check his website, you will see that the Loft actually has two bedrooms. This arrangement provided enough space for all of us to not just spend the nights, but to have enough comfort and privacy, and truly enjoy every minute of the stay. I should mention that Jacque speaks perfect English, which was very helpful.
By the way, all photos and the video on the website are exactly as you will find this charming house that used to be a home and office to a veterinarian for decades. The tastefully decorated backyard has a wooden swing that easily accommodated all four kids, and a big breakfast table where we enjoyed our delicious morning meal. As Jacque and Yves may have noticed, there were no leftovers, even though the breakfasts were very generous.
However, the best part about the backyard is the high-tech hot tub (honestly, I have never seen a unit that advanced). What a great way to spend the evening while the kids are watching TV!
In conclusion, I should say a few words about the area. In addition to natural beauty, Warwick and the farms around it are absolutely amazingly maintained. The houses look like they were painted yesterday, all with manicured front lawns, and the windows look like they were washed this morning, even at the fire station! The barns look like they came from a German postcard, and they all have bright flowers in front of them. We have not seen a broken tractor or a barn that needed a new roof, or a tilted fence, like you may typically find in the country (not that I am stereotyping).
We are happy we chose Le Gite du Champayeur, and would like to thank Jacque and Yves for making this time so special for us.

During our week of touring portions of the beautiful "Belle" Province, we reserved one night at Le Champayeur in Warwick.

Although we travel much, we are not accustomed to staying in B & B's. What a wonderful decision we made!

From the moment we arrived until we departed, the Proprietor was so very kind and accommodating.

He presented us with a brochure which allowed us to take a lengthy self-guided walking tour of the buildings in the area.

His morning breakfast was absolutely delicious - 1/2 portions for each of us were more than we ever eat at an early hour!

This beautiful Century home is definitely worthy of a stay wether you are travelling by bike or car.

A & M Christopher
