The smell alone make this place worth the stop. But the taste of the fresh baked goods will keep you coming back again and again.

Very good loaf bread selection. Will make dinner rolls to order. Good cookie selection.. Often go for chicken and beef pot pies.

Fantastic bakery. Everything is freshly made daily. Excellent breads, cookies, and pies to die for, especially the blueberry pie.

We stopped in here on our honeymoon. This is a quintessential country store in New England and we LOVED it! The baked goods are so delicious. We also purchased a take-home-and-heat macaroni and cheese that was scrumptious. Great place to go filled with country decor and trinkets, plus lots of Maine-related gifts. There's a store kitty that wanders around that just adds to the environment. The woman who we spoke with at the counter was just as sweet as can be & gave us great tips on looking for moose. Will definitely return again!

Situated in a centuries-old Cape by the side of the road, Hungry Hollow has everything a pastry lover might desire. There are all sorts of muffins and cupcakes, luscious berry pies and Maine's favorite dessert, the incredible whoopie pie, as well as the creamiest fudge and even wheat-free peanut butter cookies. (Someone I know, ate 6 of them while driving to Boston one day...ahem!)
For those with a heartier appetite there are great homemade breads and the most delicious yeast rolls as well as soups, pot pies and oh! so much more.
This stop, across from Cooper Farms on Route 26, is an absolute must when traveling to or from Sunday River!
