We stayed here for our trip to Six Flags America in Bowie, MD. Good location because we were within a reasonable distance to the park, the National Harbor and Washington DC. We had the '2 King 1 Sofa Bed Executive Suite'. The room was HUGE. Loved the size. The 2 king beds were across the room from each other with a divider (bottom half wall, top half was open) to separate them. Perfect! The sofa bed could not be slept on, though~ too small and basically no cushioning, just springs poking through. My son slept on the floor instead~ at least there was plenty of room for that! Hotel was very clean, staff very friendly.
Our biggest issue was housekeeping. The first morning we could hear her in the hallway singing very loudly. At 830am. Ugh. We had the "Do Not Disturb" tag hanging on the door and got a note slid under the door stating that after 3 days they are required to come in regardless of whether or not we had the Do Not Disturb hanging. Seems strange, but ok. Day 2, we got another note. Our issue was that the notes were being left before 9am! We shouldn't have to be out of the room at 9am for housekeeping to come in! After long days walking around an amusement park and through DC, we aren't up that early! We got the note every morning that we were there. On the 3rd third day we got another note stating the same thing. We left (making sure the Do Not Disturn sign was not left out). Came back from Six Flags and sure enough, they'd been to our room at some point. We knew this because our door wasn't closed!!! We went to put the key in the slot and saw that the door wasn't latched at all~ the door mustve been allowed to close but housekeeping didn't actually pull it shut or make sure it was locked~ it was just resting against the doorframe! We walked in cautiously and could see that they'd been there so we assume (hoped) it was them that left it unlocked. Thankfully we didn't find anything missing or out of place, didn't look like anyone else had come in. While there, they didn't actually do anything aside from changing garbage can and leaving new towels (we don't need the beds made, etc, anyway).
Overall the place was very nice. The room was great. Really recommend a change in the policy on housekeeping, though. Don't expect guests to be ready and out for housekeeping at 9am. I can see starting rooms and then checking back after 11 or noon to see if the DND sign is down, but 9am is just way too early. It was that early every single morning we were there. It really took away from our experience there, wondering if the next morning housekeeping was going to find a way to come in while we were still sleeping or trying to wake us up because we still had the sign out at 9am.
