Whenever we have guests come to visit, we try to take them to the Ward Museum. Their videos provide great background information on the ecology and animal life of the Chesapeake Bay and Delmarva. The wildfowl carvings and artwork are outstanding, We also enjoy browsing in the TreeTops Gift Shop. They have a wide variety of items for children and adults.

We visited on a rainy Saturday and enjoyed all of the exhibits. The volunteers were very friendly and knowledgeable. The gift shop had lots of great items. Ideally, we would have had lunch before the visit because the food truck parked out front had limited choices.

The Ward Museum is excellent. The exhibits are breath-taking and teach so much about the area's history. I'll be going back again.

This is a surprisingly interesting museum. We went for the art and found the history of game bird hunting.

Set aside at least a 2.5 to 3 hours to do this museum justice. We had the added bonus that they were setting up for the photography competition.

Some very nice sculptures, carvings, and bird-related art. There were a ton of ducks, but we prefer the other types of birds as they were prettier. I liked the bird house exhibit. It would be cool if there were more interactive exhibits like push a button and hear the bird sound.
They also have a short walking trail around the lake.
Admission $7/pp. Discounts for seniors, AAA, children, or military (free). There is also a half price coupon online.
