I was at the Hampton Inn with a group for a business meeting. The hotel is clean with great service. I didn't stay overnight but know several people who did and didn't hear anything negative. The meeting room was comfortable.

We had a massive hole in the plumbing in our bathroom (hole the size of a nickel). The entire plumbing was not attached to the wall at all. The banquet coordinator simply pulled it all from the wall. When we turned on the water, it was like a waterfall in the bathroom. We were then offered a room next to the elevator (only one of two available) with a generator right outside our window that was extremely loud and ran all night. We did not get any sleep at all that night. No one apologized to us for the issue in our original room, or did they care in the morning when I mentioned it to them. How was the room cleaned without running the water? If they ran it, they would have discovered the massive hole?!?!

Although I only spent two nights at this hotel, I found the staff extremely accommodating. The room was in need of an upgrade but everything was clean. I I especially liked the breakfast and the wide variety of options.

We stayed at this property with two dogs, one large and one small and found the room large enough for all 'four' of us. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was great to interact with staff members who were truly pet friendly.

Room Tip: King room w/ sofa bed is a perfect size

Hampton Inns are supposed to be reliable and consistent, but this one did not meet those usual standards. It's showing it's age, I guess, and to. Be honest, I thought I was booking a Hampton Inns and Suites nearby where we have stayed previously. This one was old, bland,and had minor annoyances like a nonfunctional bathroom fan and a broken ice machine.noise from trucks stopping nearby absolutely ruined our sleep. Breakfast was decent and I do like the toiletries. Plus, it was expensive.! I hope I won't make the same mistake next time I stay in Salisbury.
