I stayed at Joy House the first weekend in June and it was a delight. It's located in Dennis Port right in the middle of Cap Cod...great for sightseeing. It's a 230 year old inn, filled with history. The owners Peter and Barbara are great innkeepers making their guests feel at home away from home. There are three guests rooms. My girlfriend and I stayed in the two upstairs bedrooms. There were immaculate and very spacious. There was a handcrafted quilt on the bed with embroidered pillow cases. It was very homey. There is 2000 square feet on the guests side of the house. large family room with fireplace, computer\printer, a large basket of snacks always available, a sunroom and cozy, paneled TV room. We didn't use any of the common areas because we were always on the go. The owners side is 3.000 square feet.
Pete makes homemade cookies every night for their guests if they want them. We had delicious chocolate peanut butter ones. Breakfast is served every morning at 8:30 in their elegant formal dining room complete with linen table cloth and napkins. The first morning Barbara made stuffed French toast with strawberry syrup. It was delicious. We decided to opt for scrambled eggs and fruit for the remaining mornings to conserve on calories. The fruit bowl they served everyday for us was amazing filled with all kinds of fruit. It was different every morning

Pete and Barbara are a wealth of knowledge. They told us about the Oyster House restaurant right across the street and the Beach House a few blocks away...both were outstanding. We also found the Fin Seafood restaurant in Dennis situated in a small intimate house with great food and good service.
There is a garden area in the back with a hot tub but it was too cold for us to use it. It was a pleasant stay.More
