Staying in Edgartown was beginning to be a problem for us. For many many years we have just stayed at the Harbor View, but having had a horrible stay a few years ago we felt we didn't want to chance it again. So last year we stayed at the Hobknob which was $$$$ and the room was tiny plus we smelled bacon every morning in our room. This year we stayed at the Kelly house, I know they are owned by the same people as the Harborview, but we were running out of options, so we decided to give it a shot. The location couldn't be better right in the middle of town. The problem here was the pool area is right near a takeout restaurant so you could smell fried food if the wind was blowing in the right direction. The rooms are good size and clean, I noticed they were recarpeting some of the rooms while we were there. Everyone that worked there was extremely pleasant and helpful. There were a few things in our room that could have been better, no vent in bathroom and the faucet was very hard to turn on and off. Minor details. Every morning there was coffee and muffins, every afternoon there were popovers and lemonade and every night there was freshly baked cookies and milk. The other thing I noticed was our room was made up promptly after we left. At...Staying in Edgartown was beginning to be a problem for us. At the Harborview we would go off for hours and find the room wasn't touched and then they would knock on the door and we would have to leave while they took care of it. All in all I would recommend the Kelly house. Location, cost and friendly staff A+More
