My husband and I planned on just planned on driving to Falmouth for a day trip and enjoying the Shining Sea bike trail, we decided with no kids at home why rush home. Not familiar with Falmouth I went on-line and decided on the INN on the Sound. We hit the lottery with staying there, The pictures don't do the Inn justice the view is breathtaking.
We parked our vehicle at the Inn last Saturday morning and rode our bike 2 miles to the bike trail and enjoyed a flat 10.7 mile ride to the end and 10.7 miles back we ended up in woods hole for lunch and then headed back to check into the INN for the night. Howard the owner is very accommodating and makes you feel at home. The décor of the inn is warm and inviting. They showed us the community refrigerator stocked with drinks if you want and plenty of fruit and fresh pastries if you want. Our room was clean, quiet and the bed was comfortable. The décor reminded me of Chathams Bar INN. That evening we walked to the center and had a great time visiting shops and had a great meal at a Italian restraint. We are already planning to stay again early fall - We loved the location and the Million dollar view well having a delicious breakfast on the front deck.More
