Dear Fellow Traveler:
No matter how many reviews you read about Thai food, your opinion, for the most part, is subjective. Having said that; I humbly submit to you that if you have ever considered any of my reviews, you will find that my opinion is pretty much on point. Then again, I’m sure you will find some TripAdvisor travelers who will disagree…and that is OK.
Every Thai venue has their own version of Tom Yum Soup (Tum Yum Gai- Hot And Sour Chicken Soup). I can’t say that I have enjoyed every version I have tried, but when I do find a good bowl of Gai, I shout it out from the roof tops. This soup should be sold from every street corner as a cure-all for whatever ails you. The taste alone should be enough to convince you.
Hattapon’s Thai Kitchen is pretty much a whole in the wall, in that; it is nestled in the center of town in Greenfield, MA (265 Main St.), about 9-miles south of the Vermont border off of I-91, and 150 ft. west of Route 5, across the street from the Greenfield Community College Foundation building.
If by chance you happen to be in the neighborhood, do drop in for a taste. You will enjoy the food (priced to sell), and will hopefully get to meet Beth (aka "Top Cat, or TC"), quite the character. She was as entertaining as she was helpful. She has a unique understanding of the Thai culture and food, and she will answer any menu questions. She is a character filled with all kinds of stories to tell.
FYI, you can write your food choices (they are numbered) on a piece of paper. They will do the rest. Can’t wait to go back (about 1.5 hours north of Hartford, CT)!
