Dear Fellow Traveler:

No matter how many reviews you read about Thai food, your opinion, for the most part, is subjective. Having said that; I humbly submit to you that if you have ever considered any of my reviews, you will find that my opinion is pretty much on point. Then again, I’m sure you will find some TripAdvisor travelers who will disagree…and that is OK.

Every Thai venue has their own version of Tom Yum Soup (Tum Yum Gai- Hot And Sour Chicken Soup). I can’t say that I have enjoyed every version I have tried, but when I do find a good bowl of Gai, I shout it out from the roof tops. This soup should be sold from every street corner as a cure-all for whatever ails you. The taste alone should be enough to convince you.

Hattapon’s Thai Kitchen is pretty much a whole in the wall, in that; it is nestled in the center of town in Greenfield, MA (265 Main St.), about 9-miles south of the Vermont border off of I-91, and 150 ft. west of Route 5, across the street from the Greenfield Community College Foundation building.

If by chance you happen to be in the neighborhood, do drop in for a taste. You will enjoy the food (priced to sell), and will hopefully get to meet Beth (aka "Top Cat, or TC"), quite the character. She was as entertaining as she was helpful. She has a unique understanding of the Thai culture and food, and she will answer any menu questions. She is a character filled with all kinds of stories to tell.

FYI, you can write your food choices (they are numbered) on a piece of paper. They will do the rest. Can’t wait to go back (about 1.5 hours north of Hartford, CT)!

I was looking for take-out, and decided to go for thai. I rate thai on their Massaman curry, and I was not disappointed. I ordered whenI got there and there was a chair for waiting and the hostess even offered me a drink while I waited which I thought was very sweet. In about 10 minutes I had my food and was able to take it home and enjoy it.

This small informal restaurant serves some of the best home-style Thai food I've ever eaten. The atmosphere is quite relaxed and the decor is simple. The staff consists of two women; you write your order on a slip of paper and take it to the the desk; your food is brought to your table. The menu covers a variety of typical Thai dishes. The staff people are very warm and friendly. The food is fresh and cooked to order. Tea and water are available self-serve and free. If you want a luxurious decor this place won't satisfy you, but the food is excellent.

This place is a well-kept secret...fresh food, authentic recipes, friendly owners, casual atmosphere. Try the Panang (red) Curry, Pad Thai and Tofu Triangles. One of the best Thai meals we have ever had. Anywhere. Will become one of our regular spots.
