This facility is an old style motel...we drove up to a first floor room to enter by a sliding door and could exit the back by another sliding door.....with a main road 75 feet away. While decently clean, it is, IMHO, only a step above a hostel. Front sliding screen off tracks and hard to slide. Blind on bath window came off rollers. And pardon me, but I felt as if I was on a baby's potty....low and little! There is maybe one inch clearance between sink faucet and back of sink.....hard hand cleaning. Booked 5, stayed 4. And beware....they don't just swipe your card, without asking they make front/back copies of it and any ID provided. But.....really well located for exploring the Cape or catching ferry to Islands, they're just across street! Also walk to several nice places to eat/relax.

It's all about the location for this motel--so convenient to the ferry terminal which is just a short walk away. Also, there are a variety of nice seafood restaurants within walking distance. The motel is old and in need of some updating but it's all about the great location. The breakfast pastries and coffee could be eliminated and not missed.

The location is nearby the Harbor and perfect for Travelers who wants to take a ferry to the Islands like Vineyard and Nantucket without needing a Car. 2 stars review is only for the location.

The Motel looks okay from outside but think is different in our Room. We got the Room in the corner downstairs.

When we try to open the door, it was heavy and screechy!

The Room smelled with musty odor!

First thing we checked was the bed, it was filthy and we decided not to open the sheets and sleep on top of it.

We ordered a Crib for our baby but instead the real one but we got a Travel Crib? I should bring my own travel Crib and saved $10/night! Thank God we had 2xdouble filthy bed, so we put her in there.

We checked what's under the big curtains in our room that is actually facing street behind us without proper fences? A thief can entered our room anytime and We feel insecure!

The Bathroom windows can't be lock and it's facing other Hotel's parking lot and a thief can easily access our room, another insecure situation!

The only thing is clean was bath towel, but is it?
Thank God we have our own Bath Stuff for our health.

Housekeeping came once and the only thing that they changed was the Bath Towel and not making up our bed or did what normal Housekeeping did, or did they give us clean towel? For sure I smelt Chlorine.
The best part was, at the end of our 2 days stay, I tipped the Housekeeping in their Filthy wrinkle old envelope that they provided!

My Wife was so angry the whole time we stay at the Motel but thank God we only stay to sleep and not spending our time at the Motel.

Anyway,
We pray every morning and night and always bring our precious stuff together with us. We have an awesome God!

Next time, we better to stay at the Motel on Main st where it's better and closer with a lot of restaurants, cafe and bar!

Dear Volson,
Thank you for taking the time to write a review, I am very concerned to hear that you had a very unpleasant experience at our motel, reading your review was the first time we learned about your unpleasant experience. In investigating into these issues, I checked with our staff and front desk daily log and spoke to the housekeeper assigned to your room. The entire staff and front desk log shows that you never contacted our front desk in the two days that you stayed regarding to your concerns. If you did we would have taken action immediately to correct any issue or move you to another room of your satisfaction. Our housekeeper too stated that you never mentioned to her any of your concerns during your entire two nights stay. The reason she did not make the bed, you had just slept on top of the covers of the bed which you mentioned and some of your personal belongs were on the bed. I am sorry that your wife was so angry yet you never said anything to our staff during your two nights stay so we had no way of knowing about your concerns.
I am very troubled of your accusations that “a thief can enter your room anytime” making you feel “insecure”, as you stated your room “facing street behind us without proper fences”. We have not had any incidences that would make us put up a fence, this is Cape Cod not a big metropolitan city, our local police can confirm that our motel has no such problems which would require installing a fence. Our room doors all have dual locks so no person can enter your room anytime, which has never been an issue as well.
I am a little confused regarding to your concerns that you had raised, after being in business over 53 years by no means are we perfect. If the beds were so filthy, our housekeeper did not do her job, you felt so insecure and your wife was so angry, why did you not contact the front desk immediately, screaming for a full refund or another room? and why did you leave a tip for the housekeeper? If we only knew when you first arrived or anytime during your two nights stay, we could have addressed your concerns immediately and no one would have to get angry. Again, I am sorry for your unpleasant experience.

Room was spacious and clean. Simple; no fridge, but table and chairs to make your breakfast/lunches on. Breakfast in am is juice, coffee, pastries and granola bars - functional. You can always go out for "second breakfast" later.
I liked the wall of windows (sliding glass doors for entry). Most rooms have good harbor view. We could step out onto balcony walkway and see ships coming and going in harbor.
Cleaning lady and woman at desk were super sweet. We were so thankful that she happened to clean our room already, and we were able to check in very early at 11am - as soon as we got there off the train. We had hoped to only drop our bags, but they let us into our room. Yeah!
Also, hotel is right next to a good restaurant and right across from the walkway along the harbor. Super close to the Steamship Authority and Hyline cruise terminals. A great weekend trip from Boston (an idea) would be to take the CapeFlyer train down to Hyannis on Friday night, and stay in this hotel. Then go to one of the islands for a day on Saturday. Then stay again for your second night at the hotel. Your Sunday could be going right down Ocean Street to the beach at the very end of the street. There is a free trolley around Hyannis, but we brought bikes for free on the train. Easy bike ride to beaches.
Check out Tumi, Peruvian/Italian fusion restaurant too - off Main Street.
Hyannis is really under appreciated. Great JFK museum and memorial, as well as a self-guided walking tour for JFK History buffs.
We had a great birthday weekend trip here.

Room Tip: get a room on second floor

We enjoyed a one night stay here. Two queen bed standard room. One bed was okay -one was old and sagging. The lock on the slider door was extremely difficult to work and should be replaced. The room itself and the bathroom was very clean and the staff was nice. The hotel is within walking distance to food, stores, bars. Overall I would stay here again.
